I had a take away of Jaffna style kool. It did not taste like kool. It was chilli gravy with crabs and some sea food. The fish lunch packet was no better. The packaging was good. The fish curry was of poor quality. The dhal and potatoe curry was taste less. The brinjal moju was tasty.

Thanks very much to the entire Maniumpathy team for taking care of us last month whilst we were moving to permanent accommodation. The stunning architecture, amazing food and lovely personalised care make it a very unique experience, we felt very spoiled! Special thanks for having us with our 2 year old, who loved every second in the garden picking flowers and playing with pebbles :) Yet another jewel from Manor house concepts.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the beautiful Maniumpathy Hotel- post covid- and received the most wonderful care by all members of staff from the time we arrived and throughout our stay. Being pregnant, I needed somewhere safe to unwind, and the health and safety regulations followed by the hotel and all staff members made us feel so much at ease. They ensured anyone who entered the property was appropriate vetted and was committed to maintaining this high standard throughout their service and day to day routine. Every meal was prepared safely and lovingly with great attention to detail and we were also given the opportunity to dine in on our own private balcony away from everyone, which was a really lovely romantic space. We came away from Maniumpathy feeling refreshed and relaxed and would recommend it to anyone who might want to take a break and enjoy some quiet time in a beautiful and unique environment.

This was the sixth and final hotel we visited over 2 weeks in SL - whilst they were all refreshingly different with their own usps, this was the best! A lovely old doctor's house, close to the heart of town but an oasis of tranquility. The old feel of the place had been wonderfully maintained, the public spaces airy and calm with antique furniture throughout, with a sympathetic extension at the back to create a superb courtyard with pool and dining area. Our room opened onto the courtyard and was cool and spacey, with large bathroom and small private garden at the back. The staff were uber-polite, calm and attentive. The food was great - the widest breakfast choice, all superbly prepared, and we had one excellent dinner there. The hotel is small which means it keeps the personal touch - it's also clearly popular with locals so has a charming busyness about it. A fantastic end to our holiday - would give it six stars if the system allowed!

What an oasis in such a hectic city. We were here on the the last leg of a 2 week tour of the island and really enjoyed it. It’s a beautiful old colonial building with an interesting history. Lovely courtyard and swimming pool, Great food, fabulous bedrooms and caring staff. Can’t praise it enough
