Overall, this hotel presents a very good value for Colombo. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and receptionist had very good hours (we needed to arrive very late and leave early). Not a fancy place, but had exactly what we needed at a very reasonable price.
when i gave photocopy of my id card receptionist who work in the hotel he say “Son ,what is this..?” I am not his son I am a guest of hotel at least he must say”Mr”. they don’t have any name tag. Even they don’t know to speak to guest and respect to guest. I didn’t stay just left the place after 5/6 hours because I didn’t feel good.it was a worst experience in my life.staff are rude. Very unprofessional and abnormal staff at front desk
I booked two room trough (online booking) at Oyo 104 hotel on the 06-03-2019, I got two confirmation, one room is confirmed and other one room is pending for one hour, I came to the Hotel after one hour and I asked to receptionist, he said only one booking is confirmed, but I got already booking code and also my money has charged by (online booking). One room for my friend it confirmed, the receptionist took time almost one hour for check in ( the one room has confirmed), because he served the other guests first but we are also the guest came early than the other guests, look like we are not important for him, but its fine we tried to be cool down and we decide to go out for lunch and came back after 4 hours and we asked again to the same Receptionist by phone call, I asked about the booking, he asked me which room type?, why he asked the question like that, should be he asked my name or booking code, looks an receptionist unprofessional,,, and we decide to came back to that hotel to reconfirm the booking again, he said no other booking comes... but I have the booking code. and I tried to asked him the Hotel manager and he said his a Manager and he pointed to his friend beside him, he said we are Manager here (with high intonation). two hotel managers? so weird, we won't spoke to long with him, we booked one more room direct by credit card because we need two room. How come the Reception talked like that with high intonation to the guest, with impolite, before that we tried to asked him his name he said his name is Prime, this name correct or no we do not know, he do not have name tag, I asked him why you don’t have name tag, he said it's lost, but after I saw some of staff at that hotel no use name tag at all. We came for a Football match event in Colombo city. Our group has been booked to this hotel. We stayed for first 3 nights for the event plus 1 more night on our own. In my experience, the Reception people is very kind and helpful. We need to thank Mr. Prem for being helpful and courteous. My room no.102 is clean, the bathroom is clean, bed, tv, kettle all are in good condition. Good Wifi connection at lobby and need to improve for the room Wifi. We do not take breakfast in the hotel, as there is a plenty of nearby restaurants for one to choose. The hotel is at good location, a 100~200m away from the mainstreet. So it's quiet and serene. Will recommend for medium scale budget traveller, as the price here is not cheap either.
Really warm welcome, great handpainted artwork by the lovely manager Yulia, the kids were spoiled with attention and the lobby with fish, turtles and some special extras were all lovely. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and bedding clean, though basic and the breakfast great with a great view. When my phone was lost in a tuktuk, (not contracted by the hotel), all the staff did their very best to try to help get it recovered and have remained in touch. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness. Only points for suggestion would be a better clean of the kitchen cupboards in the apartment and that it should mention that the bar is not and alcohol serving bar. But overall a great place to stay and very grateful to Prem the manager and all the staff.
