Want to express my gratitude to Receptionist Ayush who has helped me with an excellent service. My assignments were due and she helped me with paperworks when it wasn’t her duty. Need to promote her! Lovely hotel btw
The hotel is located in a decently quiet area but yet pretty close to the main square. The staff at the hotel are helpful and will be able to help with directions, etc. Wifi is pretty strong. Spread of the breakfast though not a lot is pretty decent. The room though small is enough for a solo traveller. It is also clean and value for money.
I would like to thank and congratulate all the staff of H9 hotel in Ulaanbaatar where I stayed from June to September 2019 for business. Hotel Nine is a three-star hotel, but the level of the rooms, breakfast, cleaning and order is to be considered a 4-star hotel. But the thing that makes this hotel unique is the staff that works there. Everyone, everyone is always available, fast and kind; they made me feel at home. A note of merit goes to the manager Mrs. Enkhtuya who, always present, reliable, kind and attentive, runs a hotel with professionalism in which it is a pleasure to stay.
Nice hotel in the middle of town. Standard room cheap but a bit small. Suite is great but a bit expensive. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The hotel is clean. Breakfast okay. Two inconveniences make me rate this hotel good instead of very good: bathrooms have an unpleasant smell. The shower autonomously changed the water temperature which can run from comfortable to very cold or quite hot all within 10/15 seconds and repeat the process several times
Clean, cosy, and friendly hotel. The location near the main square is unbeatable. The room was spotless and equipped with all the basics a business traveler needs--desk, comfortable armchair, big comfortable queen-size bed, mini refrigerator. Good heat and pressure in the shower. The look throughout the hotel is not glitzy but cute and charming, with local Mongolian flair. Breakfast offers decent selection, including eggs and sausage choices. The comfortable dining area, with nice big window views, also offers afternoon and evening meals, brought up promptly from the cafe/ restaurant below the hotel. (The service is actually better and faster from the hotel than from the cafe itself.) While the selection for evening meals is not enormous, it's all very tasty, including soups, steak, chicken, and salmon. They also offer a creative cocktail menu, including several with fresh kiwi. It's really nice after a day of work to chill in the dining area rather than fighting your way through the streets to another restaurant. My only criticisms: the two house wines in the dining area are oversweet and not good at all, and they're the only wines offered by the glass. In addition, there is no fitness center (although Golden Gym is very nearby and offers a daily rate, if you can get past the language barrier--have the hotel call ahead for you). But these are minor points compared to the overall quality of the experience. Without exception, the staff are friendly and helpful, and speak quite good English. Overall, this hotel is a great choice and an outstanding value. I'm sure the ShangriLa is fancier, but at least when I was booking, it was between 4 and 5 times more. Hotel Nine has everything you need, and offers a very pleasant experience for a great price.…
On our recent visit to Mongolia we stayed at Hotel 9 in Ulaan Baatar. The hotel is very centrally located, just off Sukhbaatar Square, 150 meters from the super market, surrounded by restaurants & 100 meters from the world famous Gobi Cashmere showroom! The staff were friendly & would like to mention two of them in particular, Batzotig (Manager) & Anand (Receptionist). My husband was unwell the day after we reached Ulaan Baatar & they organized a taxi, the visit to the hospital & went out of their way to see that we were comfortable. The rooms were comfortable & the food at the hotel is good – we had dinner at the hotel thrice. Would not hesitate to recommend the hotel if one is visiting Ulaan Baatar
The room is compact yet modern and stylish and has everything you need. Has good Wi-Fi and descent selection of breakfast. Staff speaks good English. The location is very convenient and can walk to everywhere. There is a supermarket close by. There are also restaurants on the 1st fl.
Well positioned ( approx. 100m to the Sukhbaatar Square which represents the main centre of UB). In the suite I received excepting the carpet which was a little tired, everything was in very good condition. Very clean, all the equipment's in the room & bathroom in a good state. Good wifi in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast acceptable for a couple of mornings. Friendly stuff and desirous to help with any info at the reception desk.
As noted by other reviewers this hotel is in a great location for this city. The main square is at the end of the street and there are plenty of places to eat close by. Despite booking a room with a double bed we were given a room with twin beds. This was quickly rectified by giving us a suite. The hotel rooms appear to be partly renovated. Carpet is threadbare and stained in places but everything is clean and comfortable. Beds are firm and bathrooms are spacious with plenty of toiletries. Water pressure is good but hot water tends to come and go. The choice of tv channels is stellar. There are plenty of english language channels to choose from. The safes werent great. We stored valuables at reception because the safe in the second room we stayed in was not fixed down. Breakfast was basic at best and timing is everything for the choice available. Hash browns were soggy and orange cordial does not hit the spot. Its not a buffet you can face for too many mornings. Reception is friendly and helpful and this hotel is good value if you are planning to visit this city. Getting there and away: we arrived from the railway station by transfer. Returning to the station mid afternoon cost us 16500 tugriks and about 45 minutes in horrendous traffic. The city is in continual gridlock so allow plenty of time to get anywhere.…
Hotel was the first and last stop of our adventures in Mongoloia. Hotel is situated in a good part of town, walking distance to everything you need. It was during the festival so easy walk to government buildings and not that far to the fair grounds. Hotel staff were super helpful especially helping us deal with the airlines and lost luggage. In Mongolia, MAIT will not deliver the luggage once found so hotel helped us with taxi to deliver etc. The breakfast buffet was good. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. All around great stay
