Great stay. Good staff. Nice bed. Location is great and it is clean. I only spent 2 days here and it felt homey. The staffs are welcoming. They offer stuffs to eat and the guests usually are welcoming I can write all the positive reviews but I am afraid that it will be long.

The location of the hostel is excellent, in the very center. Loved the way I was greeted, all the staff were friendly and sympathetic. The Chief Administrator answers all questions. And the guest guys are all great guys.
The rooms and bathroom were clean.
I liked everything! ❤️Recommended❤️

The staff were so helpful! They organised a trip for us to see the wild horses which was fantastic. We saw so much wildlife and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.
At the guesthouse the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast each morning was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a very nice place to stay inbetween our tours.

If you can choose another guesthouse bad organization and non-existent staff. We booked a taxi to the airport with them but he didn’t show up we had to find a last minute solution and get to the right airport. In danger of missing his flight.
Rooms and bathrooms do not correspond to the photos taken, they are much older and poorly maintained.
If you can choose something else.

We had a terrible stay at this guesthouse this summer (2015). The boss was literally a "money lover". She tried to do anything to take our money (she asked 110 USD for a one-day Naadam trip, whereas the ticket price for the ceremony was only 4 USD, and she told us it was our last chance to join the event... And the day of the Naadam we found plenty of tickets to buy just in front of the stadium...). Plus the staff was young (students), not nice and unprofessional. And breakfast was not that nice. Avoid this guesthouse !!!

I visited Mongoilan Vision Guesthouse by chance last summer and decided to visit again this year.

Apart from the clean rooms(fresh bed sheets everyday) and great service(English speaking helpers, free breakfast & tea, and free wi-fi), I especially enjoyed the tours the guest house
arranged for me.

The Mongolian Vision Guesthouse offers both packaged tours and tailored tours. I had very specific activities I wanted to do and the guesthouse tailored the activities to my liking at a reasonable price! I made some great friends along the way and got to experience Mongolia the way that I wanted.

I recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Mongolia for a new experience.

We did not stay in the guesthouse but engaged their services for a 7 days Gobi Desert tour. It was our first Mongolian tour. The tour guide and driver were trustworthy and took good care of us throughout the entire trip. I would recommend anyone who wants to visit Mongolia to Mongolian Vision.

This organisation sends drivers to Ulaanbaatar Station who pose as taxi drivers, charge ludicrous amounts for short journeys and then don't give you any change. Driver spoke perfect English so clearly not a local taxi driver and was promoting this guest house and their tours. I advice you to look elsewhere. If you want a reliable great value guesthouse, I'd recommend Danista Nomads.

This review isn't just for the hostel but also for the tours Mongolian vision do. I emailed them before leaving the UK in regards to doing just a 2 day, 1 night tour as we were short on time. The emails were replied to quickly and efficiently. We arrived on the the train to UB at 6am, we were met there and taken to to the hostel where we were given breakfast and were allowed to have a shower (i had pre arranged this, and it was very welcomed after being on the train) We were then taken by the driver to meet the guide, the soviet monument in UB was amazing, but i like that kind of architecture. We then went to the national park, the 100 monk cave, turtle rock and the monastery. To be honest these are very average, the monastery isn't very old, or attractive (the view from the top is) but the guide Bek was very enthusiastic and he made it. I would take proper walking shoes/boots. It was very slippy due to a small amount of rain and you are allowed to climb the rocks etc but health and safety is non existent, so just be aware.
To be honest i just wanted to do two things, see the Genghis Khan monument, (which was spectacular in its sheer size let alone & the view you get from out onto the horses head, was amazing) This is going to be a massive hotel complex by next year, which will completely spoil it I think, so go now. I also wanted to stay out with a family in a Ger. This was so good, we were taken probably 40 mins further from GK monument and there was nothing there but the odd Ger, sheep, cows, horses an hills. The family gave us afternoon tea, which the tea was fine but the food was pretty disgusting, hairs in everything, yuk!! But thankfully the guide makes dinner and breakfast, and that was really delicious. I think that strikes the balance between authentic experience and not getting dysentery!!!The family we stayed with consisted of young parent of 2 boys aged 3 & 1 and there grandparents. I went horse riding with the young dad, I can't ride, but i had a such a good time, the vista was amazing, at one point we helped do some goat herding, if you can ride this would be a chance of a life time to ride in area that is totally unspoilt by time. The Ger beds were pretty hard, but with the fire on and the vodka flowing while playing the local game (ankle bones) made the whole experience magic. It is pitch black at night, the loo is a shed with a hole in a couple of planks, and was not far from the Ger, but in the night it was impossible to see without a good torch. The stars were also amazing, but it does get really cold at night so make sure you take something warm with you, if you want to sit out for a while. The next day we did a bunch of other stuff that wasn't all that exciting to us, but having done what we wanted, we were happy to go back to UB early, this did upset the guide a bit, but i explained that, just because we paid for the tour that included other things, it doesn't mean we have to do them all to have enjoyed it. Because there was only 3 of us it was $150 pp (& we didn't want to be on a tour with anyone else) its certainly not cheap, but it was definitely worth it. When we had lunch on the first day, we stopped at a Ger next to the monastery near the turtle rock, its next to a carpark and has electricity and flushing loos, and their horse ride was basically just following the road to the monastery. I'm not sure of the price, i'm sure it would have been cheaper and we met some people off our train who had stayed there and they enjoyed it, but it wasn't what i wanted, it definitely wasn't authentic, so i think it's one of those things you get what you pay for.
As for the hostel, once we got back, the main hostel was full and they put us around the corner, which was awesome, the shower had mood lighting and music!!!! The kitchen allowed us to cook of ourselves for the first time in ages. Then the next morning they collected us again from the hostel to take us to the station to catch our train. All the transfers, the breakfast and shower before the tour, the tour, double room in the hostel was $150, so actually that was good value, i can highly recommend them, the staff were friendly and we had a once in a lifetime experience. Mongolia is changing, the nomads are getting fewer and fewer due to the mining, in 10yrs time, they will not be where they are now, this way of life will be gone.
