Detailed Reviews
Had bad experience at this hotel. When first came, there were people already having complain about room. They were waiting for the room for an hour. For us, room was good but tv didn’t work. There was restaurant named Dunkhen. We ordered food and waited for almost 1 hour. Ordered teriyaki chicken. But it was just chicken deeped in soy sauce and fries was cold. Service was so slow. Around 6 pm, HK was still cleaning the rooms while talking very loud. That was so annoying. We ordered karoake at 7pm and when we got there at 7:10pm nothing was ready. Lights weren’t turning on, tv didn’t work. We waited until 7:30. In the morning, we also waited breakfast for 15min. But bantan was salty, eggs and sausages were cold.
Generally, all in all we don’t recommend this place.

Had a horrible stay at this hostel. This place is one of the high end places in Terelj. Unfortunately lack of hospitality and service failure have made my stay horrible.
1. At my first day they have made everything complicated. Some of the staff were drunk and we had to wait for 6 hours to check in.
2. The toilet room had no toilet paper. Even though the staff knew they did not care enough to bring some.
3. We have booked 2 rooms and one had no lock.
4. In the night the room was really cold. In the morning we had no hot water. Sometimes the water was not even running properly.
5. We have used the conference room for 3 days. Not a single time they have cleaned it. For our meetings we had to clean it ourselves.
6. On our second day they suddenly forced us to change rooms because they needed the room for another guests.
7. When we came to the other room we couldnot open the drapes , when we tried the entire drape came off no one cared to fix it even though we told the staff many times.
8. During our stay the wifi did not work in our rooms. They had wifi on the first floor, and when we asked for wifi they told us to use the wifi on the first floor. Of course we do not want to use the wifi in public area.
9. The restaurant was not working fully for first two days. We had cold meals on our first day. We had minimal choice for the first two days. And when finally they started working fully on the third day, we ordered 8 meals they forgot 4 of our meals. And when we asked for our meals, they asked to cancel and not to eat there.
10. Conclusion: They lack professional staff. The manager explained me why everything went wrong. But I am a guest, not a problem solver there you know.
It is such a shame that their view is beautiful and air so fresh. It should not be defined by this horrible service they provide in there.

Inexperienced employees, managers who are not aware of the rules. we had a really bad experience. the only positive side for the hotel is the location. In a hotel in such a beautiful location, the service is so bad that it can be said to be non-existent. Breakfast is a complete disappointment. the hours told are completely lies. if you want to experience stress in a place where you will stay comfortably, come here.

My wife and I visited for a weekend away from UB hoping for a quiet, relaxing weekend with fresh air. The resort is beautiful as the pictures show. They have done a great job in building an amazing hotel in Terelj. Unfortunately, they forgot to staff it appropriately.
Upon check in around 2:30pm we were given a room that was not clean. The bedding doesn't look like it has been washed all season and there was still food in the room from the prior guest. We asked for a new room and that one still had a guest in it! On the 3rd try, we got a clean, unoccupied room. We then headed to the restaurant for lunch. Upon arrival we were seated promptly. We could hear the other guests complaining they had been waiting for over an hour for food. We looked through the menu and noticed there was a broken glass under our table. The waiter came and explained they would not be taking orders for another 30 minutes because they were so far behind. We went back to the room and returned an hour later. We ordered and had our meals within 30 minutes. The food was okay.
For our dinner meal, we left the resort and went to another of the resorts in the area we have been to before. We both enjoyed the other resorts menu more. Upon returning for the evening, we were serenaded by a cacophony of noise by children running and screaming down the halls. At 11:30pm we called the front desk and they said other guests had complained as well. Nothing changed and the noise was still an issue until after 12:30am with us both wide awake.
In morning, we went for breakfast at the restaurant at 8:40am. The restaurant is supposed to open at 8:00am, but there was no food at 8:40! When the food did finally arrive, it was average. Anther guest decided to bring his dog to the restaurant and it promptly took a crap right next to our table! I love the smell of dog crap with my breakfast. I noticed the broken glass from the prior day had still not been cleaned up. We went back to the room, packed up quickly, and left by 9:15am. It was hardly the nice, relaxing weekend we had been seeking.
The staff was working hard, but there is just not enough of them. 2 waiters for a restaurant that size is not enough. Based on the timeliness of the food, maybe there is only 1-2 cooks as well. Perhaps on the weekend, bring in some additional staff to help out cook, serve, and clean. You have a beautiful hotel that you could charge 500,000MNT for a room if the service matched. Right now it is not worth the drive alone.

Just steer clear of this resort. Seriously, move on and continue your search elsewhere.
Paradoxically, the place has nice relatively modern facilities with pleasant rooms and amenities. But then the service and execution are incredibly poor.
We were given a keycard to someone else’s room. (So we always bolted our doors in case others had access.) The keycards would expire so you’d have to get them reactivated constantly. The air conditioning, TVs, kettles, and refrigerators don’t work properly. There was virtually no food available in the restaurant. There is no lift. They forgot to clean our room.
And, the rooms aren’t cheap. You are not getting what you pay for — an easy determination to reach because there is so much competition in the national park.
The views are lovely.

I thought the reviews must have been exaggerating, and that any of the older issues must have been fixed by now. Wrong. No staff speak English. Luckily I speak Mongolian but my visiting family does not. No food the first day because of a wedding. Fine, but tell me that before I show up. Wedding loud until 3am. Fridge in room doesn’t work. AC makes horrible screeching sound. Breakfast was a plate of cold eggs and hotdogs sitting out for god knows how long before we came down. Only food options were pizza, spaghetti, buuz, and khushuur. No spa as they advertise. The “entertainment space” was flooded, carpet soaking wet. No ice at the bar. And to top it all off we paid 310,000 per night per room! Stay at any other resort this place is terrible.

Although they said room will be available from 2 pm on the reservation confirmation sheet.
We came at 5 pm but room was not ready we waited 40 minutes for our reserved book.
Very disappointed. Paid 450, 000 mnt. Price was not matched the service. Good facility but very poor services.

The hotel is nice and in a very convenient location, very close to Turtle Rock and surrounded by a beautiful forest.
The positive: the staff is helpful, facilities in the main building are great, it has a billiards room and a karaoke room. They were very helpful in locating a sweater I had left in the room a few days after I checked out.
The negative: I had booked a room in the main building, however when we arrived they confused our reservation and gave us a different room at a higher price, a small cabin in front of the main building. I played along and didn't make a big deal out of it to check out the cabin (price difference wasn't that much anyway). The cabin was quite small, and the bathroom only had a very small toilet (surrounded by a very nasty looking green water flooding part of the bathroom floor) an even smaller sink, and no shower. A highly unacceptable room by any standard. We asked to be changed to a room in the main building, which they did immediatly. This new room was quite nice, beautifully decorated, with a beautiful view of the national park, spacious, with a nice bathroom with a hut tub and all amenities. Surprisingly enough, this new room was cheaper.
The room in the main building, although neatly furnished and super clean, didn't offer any minibar (just the empty fridge).
The restaurant is very poor in choices and with a rather regular quality.
Some of the staff, including front desk, speak and understand limited English.
If you're looking for a hotel to stay and spend the day exploring the surroundings, this is a good place. I recommend staying in the main building.
