From the moment I made contact with Urnaa via Facebook she gave me excellent advice on visiting Mongolia, was sensitive to what I wanted, assisted with visa advice, and offered a great price for the experience. I booked a 4 day trip (Chinggis Kahn statue, sand dunes, horse and camel rides, living in yerts and meeting nomad families, and spotting wild horses) which felt like a week - in a good way! Jafar our driver and Oiyvanka (both names probably spelled incorrectly) were friendly, professional, easy to travel with, and made the trip very enjoyable.

My wife and I took a 14 day tour to southern and central Mongolia. It was fantastic with new experiences every day. We really got a wonderful understanding of nomadic life and saw all of the big things one expects. Irnaa was great to work with in the planning stage. Our driver and guide understood our needs very quickly and we became friends during the tour. It’s a rustic trip much like camping so be prepared for spartan conditions. We only had the opportunity for 2 showers during the 14 days. We highly recommend Vast Mongolia. For budget travelers you cannot find a better tour company. For those people who want an authentic Mongolian experience you will find Vast Mongolia fits the bill.

We stayed with Urnaa and her family for 3 nights before embarking on a tour that Urnaa organized for us. She was very meticulous and helpful! The tour consisted of staying at her family farm for 10 days and a 11 day jeep tour. Everything went according to plan and at the end, we built such a strong bond with her family, we are hoping to return just to see her family again :)
We thank you for all the help and want to recommend future travelers to Urnaa. Her price was also the cheapest among the market competitors. And the breakfast is great as well :)

We stayed with Urnaa and her family for two nights between a 7 day tour that we also organized through them. Urnaa provides very good service and is very responsive to email. Her family is very nice as well. As far as guesthouses go, the positives were the great service, central location and the breakfast, and the playground outside, if you are with kids. The negatives were very hard beds and only one bathroom to share between as many as 10 or more people. It is also about 3-4 flights of stairs up.
The tour on the other hand, was amazing. Our driver was great. Very careful, fantastic eye for seeing wildlife, extremely friendly and helpful. Our guide was only in her first month, but she also did a great a job. Urnaa was very helpful in sitting down with us to customize a tour, and our driver and tour guide were flexible along the way. Ger accommodation was basic but generally comfortable. The price was also quite reasonable. If you want to eat more local, homestay food, make sure to request that. They were very accommodating with our requests to try different local foods.
Overall, if I was back to stay in UB, I might not necessarily stay at the guesthouse. But if I was going on a tour again, I would definitely go to Vast Mongolia to organize it.

Urnaa is the owner of this company, she has the guesthouse and she organise the tours. She used to be a tour guide and also she lived in the gobi area so she knows a lot about Mongolia. She went to the train station to pick us up in the morning and made breakfast so was a warm welcome (because was very cold). We only did the one day tour because we didn’t have enough time but now I want to return and make a longer tour. Our driver was Sugaraa and the guide was Gerelee, they were perfect in all senses. Very polite, funny and patient. Her English is quite good but unfortunately the driver didn’t speak in English. I would have liked to speak to him too, we did our own way with signs and some words. I totally recommended this company, whatever the guesthouse or the tours, boths works very well.

In november we took off for a trip around the world. We started with the Trans Siberia express and had 1 week in Mongolia. We emailed with Urnaa, the owner. We immediately had a good feeling, see gave us many tour options. We booked a room and got picked up in the early morning when we arrived in UB by train. Her husband made us some breakfast and we arranged a 5 day Gobi dessert tour. It was awsom!! You will have the experience of a life time!
We spent a lot of time with local people and ate their food. In the morning, our guide made a good breakfast and later on the day a good lunch. The driver was very experienced (almost 20 years!!) And he had a good looking comfortable landcruiser.
This place is highly recommended. Although it is a rather new company, you can feel the experience they all have from their past. And also important: your money is being spend truly local! :)

Urnaa is an amazing host. Super easy to communicate with. Phone, WhatsApp...
Rooms are clean. Decent size living area. Basic breakfast. Working Wi-Fi. Chill and homely vibe. In the city centre.
Prices for the tours are competitive. English level of our guide was satisfactory.
Would definitely suggest this as a stop in UB.

Basic (as guesthouses are) but really clean, very friendly family and located at the centre of Ulaanbataar. Can arrange transport to the airport if you need. A top pick!
And if you want to go on a tour they can help you with that too.
