Nice small hotel centrally located in Vientiane. The service was pretty good and the breakfast nice. I did not appreciate being charged $6 for two bottles of cold water from the mini bar, when the very same water was free in other locations in the room. Not the kind of thing I expect from a quality establishment.

The Dhavara is located right in the middle of Vientiane and offers large, well appointed rooms. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was very good as well with a range of options.

As one may expect from a boutique hotel, there was lots of attention to detail. The rooms are large, classy and in good condition. The breakfast was quite good too (although having fresh squeeze juices instead of artificial ones would be more suitable to this kind of hotel). The location is probably one of the best in town, very central.... More

The Dhavara absolutely deserves the uniformly good reviews it gets on TripAdvisor. I booked the hotel because, unlike the hotel where the conference I was attending was being held -- which looked to be a tall box, garishly decorated, aging, fraying at the edges, impersonal and in the middle of nowhere (relatively speaking), the Dhavara looked to be the exact... I stayed at the Dhavara on a business trip and it is the most charming hotel. The woodwork, the very spacious rooms, the quietness and lovely balcony in my room made it a great place to stay. I could walk to the river and go running there every morning as it is just 5 minutes away, all the tourist shops... More

We spent two nights at this hotel last week. Our rooms were at the front and had a great balcony, overlooking the city to the east and down towards the Mekong to the south. We had read that there was a karaoke bar over the road, but didn't hear or see anything on that front. The rooms are spacious and... More

I cannot find anything negative to say about this hotel. My brother lives in Thailand and booked this hotel for an overnight stay in Laos. He stayed in one room with his wife and I stayed in another. The hotel is wonderful. I wasn't expecting it in Laos but maybe that's my ethnocentricity coming through. The room was very large... More

Lovely boutique hotel, central and friendly. Excellent breakfast with cappuccino if you wanted although there was a great coffee shop (Naked Coffee) just down the road for coffee addicts not to be missed! Lovely room with balcony. Walk to river and night market. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The 2 bedroom suites take all rooftop floor. It seems that only us can take the huge corridor space. Living room, working table, dining table and big pantry.. Nice traditional design with good material. The master bathroom comes with out of order jacuzzi and shower area. Breakfast buffet has few choices( maybe they do the a-la-carte plate but no staff inform us)... More
