We stayed here because of location. It sits across the street from the Thai consular and makes for easy bak and forth travel. The rooms were somewhat clean, but the beds were extremely hard (like sleeping on a box spring). We had hot water and the bathrooms were manageable. Occasional sewer gas smells made the bathroom a bit much to... More

This hotel is only really good for backpackers and elderly Chinese on coach tours. It's not a place to take the wife. The only saving grace is very hot water in the bathroom. The cleaning staff unfortunately didn't close the room door properly after cleaning but luckily nothing disappeared while we were out. To be fair, it is very close... More

The Room Prices are over the general level for this Hotell. The Hotell has no Restaurant , on a Breakfast. No Rom Servive. The free WIFI is a slow speed option, that is inadequate. * The staff is very friendly. The Rooms are Clean. The Air Condition is OK. The Beds are Good. Else there are much more to be... More

Just stayed for couple of nights here for getting Thai Non-B Visa. Only 40~50 meters from Royal Thai Consulate. Hotel itself isn't great. Extremely slow elevator, wifi. Breakfast is ok for hotels in Vientiane, I guess. I stayed at triple beds room type. Bathroom is big but dirty little bit / Bed is bit hard / There are some Korean... More

Douang Pra Seuth hotel is in a great location if you are doing a visa run in Vientiane - literally a few yards from the Thai Consulate. Has a selection of various eateries, cafes etc close by and easy to get a tuk tuk if you want to journey further afield. An impressive looking hotel from the outside, proudly displaying... More

Stayed for 2 nights as I was in Laos picking up a visa - the Hotel is literally 50 metres from the Thai Consulate (not to be confused with the Thai Embassy) The front office / reception staff were very helpful throughout my trip but thats pretty much where the good points end. The rooms were not cleaned properly -... More

If you're in Vientiane to visit the Thai Consulate this is an easy and hassle free place to stay. It is literally just across the road. After reading the reviews, I was actually surprised by the room, it was big and clean. Everything I needed for one night. Had to wait until 12 to check in, but staff will keep... More

It is across from the Thai Consulate, and that's the best to be said (although that was good for me since I had to make 4 trips to get my visa worked out). The staff was helpful since I had 3 documents sent to them for printing. The breakfast was adequate, although the freshly-made guay tiew was good. Although there... More

“Call beforehand, because when I sent e-mail, they tried to give us the wrong bedroom. Ask for a room for non-smokers, because they tried to give us a bedroom with very strong smoking smell. When you enter the bedroom, check if they cleaned everything, because they gave us a bedroom with the trash bins full of garbage.”
