This is a fabulous hotel. The foyer is marble and truly magnificent. The rooms are so big and wonderful. The views we had were overlooking the golf course. The front desk staff are excellent and couldn’t do enough to help you. The only thing is that we were the only people staying at this massive resort. The hotel is about 18 km from Phomn Penh which is too far out when you like to explore. To visit the killing fields and S21 prison we had to get the staff to arrange a taxi to take us to both of these sites and it cost $100. Another day to visit the market and other places we had to book another taxi at a cost of $50 There is also a magnificent golf course at this hotel and is very well used. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was different in that we were the only two there for it. So breakfast was made to order. Sometimes they didn’t have what we were looking for. As we were so far away from the city we had to have dinner too. Again the only two people in the dining room. But I must say this was not the hotels fault but maybe our travel agent should not have booked us in here? The swimming pools are beautiful and again we used these on our own, with no one else here! I think the hotel will be very busy when the Asian games come to Cambodia. …

Ordered a la carte, after golf lunch in the hotel. Beautiful hotel, great service, immaculate rest rooms and fabulous food. Will return for a long weekend as guests despite already living in Phnom Penh.

We were excited about our stay at Garden City Hotel, but early on things started going wrong. For brevity's sake, here's a bullet point of why 2/5 is a generous review: - Arrived and the the clerk at reception insisted I pay more than I had been quoted. He said that prices had gone up because COVID was over...he said this straight faced as we spoke wearing masks. I refused to pay. The manager arrived and apologised. - The room looked good and the balcony had a great view. But there was no hot water. "Run the water longer", they said. I ran it for ten minutes. Then they told me that there's a problem with the pipes our room doesn't get hot water. - The room didn't have English language entertainment channels. We asked about this and it seemed as though they didn't have subscriptions (despite advertising these channels). - We ordered two meals for dinner. The chicken was not cooked (it was served raw!!!!), and the vegetables looked like they'd been pulled out of the freezer. It was truely terrible. Minor issues: - The pool wasn't prepared for visitor, no towels, the pool itself was full of leaves and other debris. - The cocktails were poorly made, but very expensive. If you're determined to stay at this hotel, I'd advise bringing your own food and keeping your expectations low. The manager seemed like he knew what he was doing and he organised a discount for us at the end. But it was still a poor and regrettable experience and I would strongly advise staying away.…

Took us 30min to get to the hotel from the city centre. This is a great destination if you don't want to skip town but would love to see something different. I've exhausted all the spots in Phnom Penh so this was refreshing. Due to COVID, the amenities weren't in full operation. Nonetheless, the room, pool and the golf course view made up for it. There's a gym too but we didnt use it. We booked a deluxe twin room with a balcony overlooking the golf course. The room was clean, spacious and comfy. It has a hot/cold shower and a bathtub. There weren't many guests. Felt like we had the hotel to ourselves ❤ Ask for a golf course tour at the golf shop and they'll arrange it for you. There are tons of golfers especially on the weekends, so we had our tour early in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the food was average at best. Kitchen closes at 6pm. Bring some snacks with you and you can order in meals from a food app (nham24, foodpanda, etc.) The place is far from any pharmacy so it is wise to bring first aid kit as well. Again, due to COVID the transpo options are limited. We arranged our ride to the city with the receptionist. The night audit manager was nice enough to drive us back. I had a really great stay in this hotel. The entire facilities are simply impressive and feel luxurious. I tried the breakfast and the restaurant for lunch and dinner. There is plenty of choice and the staff is very attentive and kind. Same service at the bar where it's a pleasure to enjoy an iced coffee in the afternoon or cocktails in the evening. Spa and golf on site plus a few activities in development. Definitely a really good property.

This was our final destination on our tour of Cambodia. What a gorgeous hotel! The spa and pool facilities were absolutely beautiful and the staff were so attentive. The food was lovely, although there wasn't always a lot available at breakfast time if you went down after 9am. I would definitely recommend the hotel for people looking for somewhere remote but to bear in mind that the city centre is about 30 mins away. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We went to Cambodia on a family trip . We stayed at Garden City Hotel at Phnom Penh. It’s a home more than a hotel. It’s friendly atmosphere is very welcoming to a guest. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Food is amazing. Specially the breakfast. Chef was good to give us very tasty food even at 10 o’clock in the night. They didn’t make any fuss about it. Cambodian hospitality is unremarkable. Mr. Thanu the front office manager is very friendly and pleasant. He makes sure that this guests are comfortable and looks into their needs. Staff is very friendly and pleasant. I would highly recommend this place to any guest without hesitation. In the photo is Mr. Thanu front office manager.

We were looking for a resort that had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere and this was it! We spent 2 nights at their hotel suite. It was huge and clean, and very nice view of the golf course and upcoming waterpark. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. AC, and wifi worked great. All the staff were very friendly. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool, steam, sauna or jacuzzi, but they are free for hotel guests, and the pool was very nice despite not being able to swim in it. We tried their spa and it was excellent, and very reasonably priced compared to other hotels. The reason I'm giving 4 stars was the food, its not bad but could be better for 5 stars standard. Wasn't able to try their room service.
