This was our second stay here. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and is a beautiful calm green space with bamboo and various other plants surrounding the central courtyard and pool. The pool is a real gem. It's not big, but a central island with a tree and fragrant pandan on it makes it a great place to relax.
We really appreciate having free filtered water available in glass bottles. Cambodia produces frightening amounts of plastic waste and not having to buy water in plastic bottles was a big plus for us.
The solar water heating is very effective. We needed to run the shower for a while before the hot water came through, but once it arrived it was properly hot even on a cloudy wet season day.
We didn't eat in the restaurant this time as we had other places we wanted to go, but we ate there last time we stayed and the food was good.
Location is good with Boueng Keng Kang close by and Tuol Tum Pong only a five minute ride away.
Staff are friendly, and as it was quiet, allowed us early check in and gave us a free room upgrade.

Well located and off the busy streets this is by far the safest and most comfortable hotel we have stayed at in Southeast asia. We stayed at this fabulous boutique hotel as a couple about five years ago when first arriving in Cambodia. We recently went back for about 3 weeks in total in february-march 2020, and had again a wonderful stay. Highlights are: sustainability-minded hotel (social and environmental), small cozy garden and pool, breakfast (especially traditional pork and rice), kitchen staffed with an amazing chef cooking up some delicious Khmer and western recipes, the happy hour cocktails, especially the ginger infused martini and passion daiquiri, and above all the kindest staff imaginable who will always greet you with a smile. We were so glad to meet the same staff as five years ago upon our return. Also, the management is super flexible and helpful. The rooms are great, really nice interior and comfortable bed (though the bathroom is a bit peculiar). The compound feels very secure with a 24/7 security guard. For the location BKK area is full of great restaurants. So definitely a 10/10 and will return! A special thank you to Ms. Rattanak, Ms. Sreyleak and Ms. Raksa :)

I stayed for 4 nights on a work trip. It was near where I was working. The hotel is a little basic with room fittings and doors/windows that don't quite fit. The rooms are air conditioned which works acceptably. The area is fairly quiet. However there was some building work going on which started at 0800 even on a Sunday much to the disgust of some other quests. Wifi was a bit erratic in my room, but worked most of the time.

Food was very good though the menu was a bit limited.

I did ask them to meet me at the airport, but no one was sent so I had to take a taxi.

The terms Eco and Boutique have to be changed for me from the name, as I didn't see any ecological or charming things in this basic hotel. Breakfast is mediocre, with no choice, and without even a small canned chemical fruit juice. Rooms is correct, clean, but mattresses are terribly old and so I couldn't sleep, no hot water because they use solar heather and at the moment their is not much sun in the afternoon. Personnel is totally unhelpful and not really friendly.
The pool is nice and the location is good, but for the price we payed for the family room we could find way better option unfortunately we followed the travelers choices that are really over rating this place!!!

Nice place, comfortably furnished, clean, co-operative and polite staff. Had some issues with the aircon in the room, but it was fixed. Quite area compared to the rest of the city. Decent value for money.

It was a quaint and cosy place. Location isn't their strong suit. It is a cab ride to get to any place at all - restaurants, pubs and sightseeing locations. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms didn't have a ceiling and were open to the room, so privacy is definitely a huge issue even for couples. There is not exhaust either, so it can get a bit confining. Mosquitoes were a huge menace here. Definitely not worth a second visit.

This was a great hotel, service was absolutely fine, there was nothing wrong with the experience. I stayed here for 6 nights. On the 4th morning of my staying I realized my wallet that was kept in my suitcase under lock, was way more "thinner". I kept inside a big wallet an envelope with money and my passports. I opened it only to realize 400 dollars where missing. So someone found the keys to the lock, opened it and opened my suitcase and took the money. The people at the hotel where nice, but apparently the boss, didn't offer any compensation, I even asked then to take care of the bill, which they did after a long argument. I do not recommend staying here after this experience.

I loved the ambience and the finishing of this hotel. It is very cosy and beautiful. The breakfast is a disappointment but perhaps for the price paid it was all they could give. I paid about 25 dollar without taxes. The food tasted nice though and i loved the coffee.

I was given an upgraded room at first but it was not clean and i had bugs biting throughout night. After I complained next day, i got another room for the price I paid which was smaller but clean and felt fresher.

I feel the maintenance team arent doing proper job.

Staffs were friendly and helpful. But only perhaps two spoke english.

The biggest disappointment is the room that has bathroom/toilet air circulating within the room. It was very strange and I dont like this idea. Otherwise, I would have wanted to come back here some day.

Got a Tuk Tuk for $4 from the main bus station near the Night Market. The hotel looks really nice with the swimming pool in the middle so all rooms look out on to it. They had everything waiting for us, called us by name, copied our passports then took our bags up to the first floor in the LIFT. The room looked really inviting, was large with a comfy big bed and pillows. The doors opened up to a balcony which looked down onto the pool. The room looked exactly like the photos on the booking agency. You do have to take your key out from the power when leaving the room so it can get quite hot. Although two of us were booked in the room only one soap, one cup and coffee for one was supplied. Breakfast was included in our room rate and as we were leaving really early a takeaway breakie was packed for us. I didn't think much of the limited menu and drink choices were also limited and certainly not 'good value'. We did eat there however were asked at 8.30 to order any more drinks and to pay as the bar was shutting at 9pm. There is a sign stating the bar closes at 10pm. There are no other bars or restaurants nearby so every time you want to go somewhere you need transport. There is a local day market at the end of the street and Aeon Mall is a $2 Tuk Tuk ride away. Taxi through the hotel to the airport was $13. If you want to be near any action of any sort this is not the place to stay.

After so many good feedback I booked the hotel for two nights.
The pool is small, you can't really do some lines. At the moment, there is a building side next door. Better bring earplugs.
I had fruit salad for breakfast (picture). If you want more then the one choice you have, they charge extra (3$ for the salad)
My sheets were not very clean but you can't expect western standards.

Room is specious. Bed comfy. Great shower. But I didn't found out how to open the doors to the pool (as you see online). But due to the pool area is so small, you don't really want people to sit on your lap, while you are in your room. Would feel weird I guess. Maybe rooms on the upper floors are nicer. Mine was very dark also (due to shut doors on the side of the pool).

Staff is nice of course. Like so many Cambodians a little shy and very respectful. But don't even try to get better Tuk Tuk prices via the reception. They give you just the extra high tourist rates. I negotiated 10 dollars less and still paid double the salary a Tuk Tuk driver makes in average a day. Just by talking a bit and being friendly and smiley, they go down themselves ;)
The rates are just weird in general. Get used to it, not as cheap as in many Asian countries.

Also, if you like to go out, it is a 3$ ride to a more busy area and even 4$ to the bus station. Or long walks ;)

Hello. No, no safe in the room. No cloth cabinet either, just a shelf and cloth hangers. Minimalist.
Answer from Ian J

Hi Kim. The toilet and showers are separate (which isn't that common here) by brick walls and have heavily frosted glass doors that you can't see through. The walls are 2.6 metres, high and the room height is just over 3 metres, so there is a gap between the top of the bathroom walls and the ceiling. In 8 months we've only had 2 people mention it. It was a design consideration, and we felt that having the openness of the room was better than solid walls that might feel more closed in. Hope this helps. HBEH

The room we were in had a shower with a door and a wash basin outside in the room. A bit odd but it worked OK. I have never understood why people are concerned about showers and water in the room. It's the tropics and water dries quickly. I like big showers with no doors myself. The hot water at the hotel worked OK and the pressure was good, this is more important to me. Just make sure that there is someone to open the gate when you return at night.
