House Boutique Eco Hotel is Phnom Penh’s only social enterprise eco-hotel, committed to responsible, sustainable tourism. We strive to provide warm and engaging hospitality experiences and services to all our guests in a way that minimises environmental impact and respects the local community and culture in Cambodia. We also uphold our dedication to accessibility as the hotel features a specially designed accessible entrance, bathrooms and bedrooms while assistance dogs are welcome. Located strategically in Phnom Penh, House Boutique is around the corner of Boeung Keng Kang market, a popular shopping spot for both locals and tourists alike. The hotel is situated only 1km away from Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, 2km away from The Royal Palace and 9km away from Phnom Penh’s International Airport. Bordering some of the city's most interesting neighbourhoods, House Boutique offers a great location from which to both explore, and be a part of, life in Phnom Penh. Our endeavour to bring authentic and enriching experiences to our guests is evident in the very fabric of the hotels design, menu and service. While the hotel itself combines the simplicity of modern design, its Khmer influences give it a traditional touch in keeping with the country's heritage. House Boutique works with a community of local businesses to procure materials, designs and products from sustainable sources.

I stayed for 4 nights on a work trip. It was near where I was working. The hotel is a little basic with room fittings and doors/windows that don't quite fit. The rooms are air conditioned which works acceptably. The area is fairly quiet. However there was some building work going on which started at 0800 even on a Sunday much to the disgust of some other quests. Wifi was a bit erratic in my room, but worked most of the time. Food was very good though the menu was a bit limited. I did ask them to meet me at the airport, but no one was sent so I had to take a taxi.

This was our second stay here. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and is a beautiful calm green space with bamboo and various other plants surrounding the central courtyard and pool. The pool is a real gem. It's not big, but a central island with a tree and fragrant pandan on it makes it a great place to relax. We really appreciate having free filtered water available in glass bottles. Cambodia produces frightening amounts of plastic waste and not having to buy water in plastic bottles was a big plus for us. The solar water heating is very effective. We needed to run the shower for a while before the hot water came through, but once it arrived it was properly hot even on a cloudy wet season day. We didn't eat in the restaurant this time as we had other places we wanted to go, but we ate there last time we stayed and the food was good. Location is good with Boueng Keng Kang close by and Tuol Tum Pong only a five minute ride away. Staff are friendly, and as it was quiet, allowed us early check in and gave us a free room upgrade.

The terms Eco and Boutique have to be changed for me from the name, as I didn't see any ecological or charming things in this basic hotel. Breakfast is mediocre, with no choice, and without even a small canned chemical fruit juice. Rooms is correct, clean, but mattresses are terribly old and so I couldn't sleep, no hot water because they use solar heather and at the moment their is not much sun in the afternoon. Personnel is totally unhelpful and not really friendly. The pool is nice and the location is good, but for the price we payed for the family room we could find way better option unfortunately we followed the travelers choices that are really over rating this place!!!

Well located and off the busy streets this is by far the safest and most comfortable hotel we have stayed at in Southeast asia. We stayed at this fabulous boutique hotel as a couple about five years ago when first arriving in Cambodia. We recently went back for about 3 weeks in total in february-march 2020, and had again a wonderful stay. Highlights are: sustainability-minded hotel (social and environmental), small cozy garden and pool, breakfast (especially traditional pork and rice), kitchen staffed with an amazing chef cooking up some delicious Khmer and western recipes, the happy hour cocktails, especially the ginger infused martini and passion daiquiri, and above all the kindest staff imaginable who will always greet you with a smile. We were so glad to meet the same staff as five years ago upon our return. Also, the management is super flexible and helpful. The rooms are great, really nice interior and comfortable bed (though the bathroom is a bit peculiar). The compound feels very secure with a 24/7 security guard. For the location BKK area is full of great restaurants. So definitely a 10/10 and will return! A special thank you to Ms. Rattanak, Ms. Sreyleak and Ms. Raksa :)

Nice place, comfortably furnished, clean, co-operative and polite staff. Had some issues with the aircon in the room, but it was fixed. Quite area compared to the rest of the city. Decent value for money.

Great budget hotel close to attractions. Hotel clean with large room, we stayed in a family room. Staff friendly and helpful. Food and drinks delicious, although small menu. Pool cool and plenty big enough to splash around in. Walking distance to local market, supermarket, independence monument, river, street 51 bars and royal palace.

Room: spacious family room, not as fancy as the ones on the website, but nice and comfortable. Very clean. Service: friendly and efficient Overall: nice green courtyard with a beautiful small pool right next to the restaurant. No place for kids to splash and scream at maximum, but ours could cope with that. Location: quiet alley between market and embassies. We walked to S21 and Royal Palace, but the latter was quite a long walk and traffic is vicious in that city.
