After opening our famous Pavilion boutique hotel, we realised, as people with family ourselves, that Phnom Penh needed a resort that was family orientated and child friendly. The historic colonial house we found on Oknha Peich Street with its 3500m2 of surrounding land was perfect. Caring, friendly staff, lots of nature for children to explore, the Kabiki is a place to relax, take a swim and lounge in the sun between days exploring Phnom Penh and the nearby attractions of the Royal Palace, Wat Botum and the riverside. We planted over 500 native trees, many of which we've placed name tags on so you can identify them yourselves.

Hello Gillian I am so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. That was truly not our intention. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope you give us the chance to make it right. I would also like to comment on your points. 1. When we checked In a few of the hotel staff carried our bags up to the room and then hung around until they were tipped which we found slightly uncomfortable. - I am deeply saddened to hear our staff requested tip from you. Normally our porters after delivering the guests bags to the room, wait for a short while to make sure that there is nothing else they require assistance with. 2. The room was average with a nice bed and air con but the shower was basic and tired looking. - Thank you for the compliment of our beds, our property is one of the few original buildings built years ago and we try to maintain it's original authenticity. So we apologies if it was not up to your standard and will do better in our maintenance. 3. We went down to the pool area on the second day and again the place seemed not very well maintained with not even toilet roll in the ladies bathroom. - We apologies for this occurrence, I have notified our staff to continuously check and make sure bathrooms are well stocked for our guests. 4. It was the only hotel that there was no table service everything you had to order at the bar yourself. -Please except my apologies for this, as we are going through a training process with the new staff and have made sure the waiters and waitresses assist our pool guest with orders at all times. 5. I got eaten alive in the couple of hours we sat by the pool by ants and mosquitoes! I know that isn’t the hotels fault but the nature garden meant bugs heaven which for me meant I didn’t go down there again. - Deeply apologetic for this experience, as we are a garden hotel with many different type of trees and plants which gives the hotel it's fantastic scenery it is expected to find different types of wildlife within the property. We are doing the best we can to make sure the guest experience this authentic surroundings by offering insect replants that is safe for the guests and the environment. 6. I have stayed in much cheaper and lower rated hotels in Cambodia and been much happier, this for me was not value for money. - I am sorry you feel that way, yes our prices are slightly higher to other hotels in Cambodia, as we are the only family oriented hotel with an authentic garden in the middle of Phnom Penh city right next to the Prime Ministers house which adds extra security for the guest. 7. We tried to only stay there the one night and move on but the hotel policy meant we wouldn’t have our money back, we just stayed out the hotel as much as we could. - We understood your request to amend your original booking of two nights at our hotel. As our policy states that cancellation of booking less than 10 days is non refundable we were unable to cancel your room at the short notice you requested. We are grateful you decided to not cancel your second night and continue to stay with us. I hope you don't judge the entire hotel by this experience. We strive to do one thing...give guest like yourself an experience rarely have access to especially in the city. The Kabiki Secret Garden Hotel is a unique hotel that connects city and nature. Please feel free to reach out directly to me if you ever have any questions or comments or if there is anything we can do to remedy your experience. Thank you again for the feedback Sincerely, Sifiso

We live in Vietnam and we found Cambodia more expensive in general. Kabiki's breakfast is yummy and as the products they use are top quality. it is definitely worth the money even if it is not as much as what you would get at a breakfast buffet.
