I probably overly review my hotel choices and I primarily selected my 4 night stay because of the location of this hotel. This was my 3rd trip to Phnom Penh and my first time to stay near the river front. I booked a balcony room which overlooked the locals market. I enjoyed sitting outside watching all the activity below. This is not a tourist market selling junk but locals selling primarily food items such as live fish, chickens, fruits and vegetables.

I was a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews on trip advisor. Many say the breakfast is just basic but I found it to be as good as any hotel I have stayed in Cambodia. There is an egg and waffle station, plus lots of western and asian choices and a fresh coffee machine. I love the setting where you can choose to sit by the atrium to the hotel lobby below.

While an average size, I found my hotel room well designed with lots of cabnetry and well placed lighting and electrical plugs. Well designed bathroom with one of the best hand held shower heads I have ever used.

What really empressed me is the cleaning staff. The hotel room was spotless and I witnessed cleaning persons even wiping the hand railing on the balconys and while sitting eating breakfast noticed anything that is touched to be cleaned repeatedly. Constant sweeping, mopping and cleaning glass is going on throughout the hotel.

We enjoyed the saltwater infinity pool on the roof which has views of the river. We also went upstairs to the restaurant and bar to watch the sunset. We didnt order anything upstairs because be thought it was too expensive. Also enjoyed the actual hot water which overlooks the pool.

In several reviews there are complaints about the required 50.00 deposit which is refunded when you leave. In the USA many hotels require a deposit which is usually placed on your credit card and refunded when you leave so this practice did not bother me. However in the hotel book in the room there is a list of overpriced charges for things if you break something. I think this is overdone and also creates a negative image for the hotel. I think there is also the same list posted at check in.

I used Grab to book cars, and tuks from the hotel on various trips. Because the street on the hotel dead ends into the market I did have a few issues with Grab drivers not finding the hotel.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Although being initially slightly concerned as to the close proximity the market, we absolutely loved this hotel with its infinity pool on the roof together with bar and amazing views over the city.

Located very close to the river for evening walks along the promenade and plenty of excellent value restaurants and bars. Plenty of tuk tuk's around to get out to see places and located 5 mins walk away from the Royal Palace and 10 mins from Botumvatey Pagoda. We had a suite on level 9 that overlooked Ounnalom Pagoda, which is currently being renovated, and had great views over towards the river.

Excellent breakfast each morning, plenty of staff there to clear up and hot dishes regularly refilled ohh and very strong coffee! Our room and the entire hotel was very clean and in fact you could have eaten off the floor!

The pool was very relaxing and a real treat after a hot day out and about and had good facilities for getting changed once we had checked out on our final day for late departure.

Read reviews before booking main gripes were poor wifi didn’t bother me I was on holiday to sight see not be using wifi in fairness wasn’t bad.
Next gripe one lift only found it problem when coach load of tourists arrived so took stairs rest of time wasn’t issue.
Another gripe was the $50 now in Ireland they always take deposit in Vietnam it was $100 as I didn’t intend on breaking anything it wasn’t issue.
Oh and the biggest gripe of all the smell from the market yep was pretty rough but once inside hotel didn’t notice it at all.
My experience of the hotel and it’s staff.
Hotel was spotlessly clean it’s staff were very helpful nothing was a problem my room was made up daily which was a waste of resources as it didn’t need it so I put do not disturb sign up every other day.
The pool area was heaven gorgeous views only negative about the pool area is that the beds couldn’t be moved to catch the afternoon sun.
The gym was used daily couldn’t fault it apart from no aircon but soon as I finished could cool of in pool.
Now a negative for the hotel breakfast is very limited for Europeans egg station and pastries was the lot but strangely enough you were in Asia so do as the locals do.
Overall very impressed and would definitely return.

My sister and I stayed 2 nights and liked it so much that we came back for our last 2 nights in Cambodia. It is as advertised. Extremely clean, friendly with a large variety of breakfast choices, both hot and cold. The rooftop pool and bar overlooks the river (< 1 block away) so you can watch boats and also overlooks part of the city, where 1 building in distance is a night light show. Sometimes there was a faint odour from the river, likely due to low water levels this time of year. There is an interesting local food market along the street side (away from the river) that you will want to be careful where you step if you go that way. Many restaurants are walking distance along by the river. Western Union was close so it was easy to take out money, get it changed into smaller bills then return to put some of it in the hotel room safe. It is a luxury hotel with comfortable beds that we recommend.

I will stay here again. You get what you pay for! I had the Suite Balcony 9th floor, GREAT view of river area. Pool and hot tub on top floor (11th) is very nice with river view. The food is a little pricy. Get the breakfast included, nice buffet! Laundry service 4 doors down, small bar next door. Taxi and Tuk Tuk drivers in front of hotel. Don't use Tuk Tuk for Killing Field and prison tours, take taxi and you pay for entrance fees. Ask for Rina, nice young man, very good English. He can drive you in taxi or tuk tuk. PS. the ATMs ask if you want USD or Reil. Just make sure when you get change that the paper is in good condition, or ask they replace with another.

Overall it is a nice place and one again another hotel that has such potential. Understandably due to the markets outside the door step there are flies and bugs around. however finding ten insects in your bed as soon as you enter the room as well as toe nail clippings is unacceptable. The rooms are infested by ants and small insects. the wooden interior of the rooms makes it hard to manage but some bug spray would be a great place to start. I requested to change rooms and sprayed the room myself. Breakfast has a limited range. The butter packet I was eating from has mould all over the bottom- thank goodness I stopped eating once I realised and took it straight to the staff. Small things that could easily be avoided. On a bright note, there is a nice roof top bar.

The hotel is very nice but we were disappointed because when I booked the hotel for 4 nights I asked for a room with one bed, when we got there the receptionist said that they only had rooms with one bed as an upgrade to a room with a balcony so we payed the $52 USA for the upgrade. The porter took us up to the room and we unpacked our suitcases and then realised that the Aircon was not cooling down, so I called reception and the girl on reception said that the Aircon in our room was not working so we would need to change rooms (what an inconvenience) the big disappointment was the hotel already new the Aircon was not working correctly. It was a great shame that the start to our stay was not good because the hotel is in the middle of Phnom Penh very close to the river just where we wanted.

Room is ok, but roomservice weak: f.e. iI ask for cleaning the room from 7 in the morning and result is no cleaned room, even at 4 in the afternoon. Happened twice.
Restaurant service is also not good, because they ignore you if they can, Same at the pool, service is bad, not friendly and even no towels sometimes.
Reception is ok, but it seems that there is no management to follow up things..

Lovely hotel with gorgeous rooftop infinity pool and restaurant area overlooking Mekong Delta. Great location n the Doun Penh neighborhood close to Royal Palace, National Museum and Wat Phnom plus numerous restaurants and market. Breakfast was not included to paid USD8 for al la carte option which was good value for money. Dinner was also delicious and reasonable. Rooms are spacious however housekeeping was tardy.

The hotel is not only virtually on Phnom Penh’s waterfront but also a ten-minute walk away from the National Museum and the Royal Palace with the Silver Pagoda.
The rooms here are large and instant coffee is available in every room. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, the avocado toast was good but not convincing enough to have breakfast there the second morning.
A small gym is also available on the rooftop level but the real deal is the awesome rooftop pool and jacuzzi, a lovely spot for an evening cocktail in the balmy Cambodian weather. Some staff members lack in the English communication skills but they certainly try to make up for it with plenty of smiles and courtesness.

Not all. Specify balance balcony when you make your reservation. Also, suggest a high floor as the area around the hotel is noisy and gritty.

I cannot remember which standard our room was so I am unable to answer your question. However our room had a bath in addition to the shower. (in the bedroom portion-not the wet area). I hope this helps.

You wait for the elevator. Maybe get a room on the floor above the lobby so you at least are at breakfast area level.
