Detailed Reviews
Arunreas Hotel exceeded our high expectations and it will be our first choice next time we visit Phnom Penh.
We appreciated the upgrade to a spacious Grande King Room with a Plunge Pool and the wonderful attention from all the team starting with a welcoming email from Linda Cheng upgrading our accommodation, friendly fast check in by Lisa and exceptional service in the attached Khema Restaurant by all the team.
The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, very good Airconditioning, wooden flooring, large bathroom with walk in shower and the rare treat of our own plunge pool.
The daily breakfast in the on-site Khema restaurant was amongst the best we’ve enjoyed in any hotel and the two dinners were as good as higher end french restaurants in France.
We would gladly recommend Arunreas Hotel to family and friends and look forward to our next stay.
Thank you Linda and team for looking after us and making it a memorable experience.

Room Tip: Choose the Grande King or Suite for Plunge Pool as that’s a rare treat in Cambodia.

This was a wonderful colonial style hotel with large rooms, high ceilings and a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. Helpful staff. Great location. Easy to walk or take a tuk tuk anywhere you need to go. It was Kevin’s birthday when we visited and they treated us with some wine, a birthday cake and flower petals on our table! We highly recommend! The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been a gym.

Many thanks for this heartwarming 5-star review, this means a lot to us! We're glad to know Arunreas team helped make this birthday even more memorable and that you enjoyed it all, from the hotel's atmosphere to the service, and of course the amazing free flow breakfast at Khéma. Regarding the gym, it's true that we don't have one on-site but please note that we have a partnership with a gym place near the hotel and all our guests can enjoy it. Do not hesitate to ask the reception next time you visit us! Thank you for choosing Arunreas and we hope to welcome you again very soon.

Our room was luxurious and huge. We ate several meals at the restaurant which for us worked well to ease us into the Khmer cuisine. The staff went above and beyond, helping out over the phone when we had transport issues, after we'd checked out! They even upgraded our room when we returned for a second night. Highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we knew our stay was going to be exceptional. An upgrade to Majestic Suite, was given, without fanfare. The room was huge, then there was the plunge pool and bathroom on top !!!! Wow! Staff were very welcoming. Just so comfortable. Faultless. Good location. Great food. Exceptional value. An outstanding reason to visit Phnom Penh. Memorable.

This is a boutique hotel. It has 12 rooms only. It is rated 4 star and that is due to the fact it has no pool or gym. The rooms are better than most of the 5 star hotels I have e stayed in. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was included in the amazing restaurant down stairs and it was a real pleasure to stay there and I officially have found a new home when in Phnom Penh. The hotel once belonged to the American embassy and the quality still shines through. I particularly liked the oversized bath which 4 people at least could fit in. Special thanks goes out to the restaurant manager, Eric who never can do enough for his guests. A true professional. As Arnie once said,”I’ll be back!”

Choose this place based on the good reviews on the TripAdvisor, but regretted my choice.
True, I could have studied more the facilities, but for more then 130 $ no Pool, no Spa, no Garden, bathroom located towards the street, having the only window in the room....
No thank you, there is better then this....

Perfect location in the city center of Phnom Penh, not far from the Royal Palace and the many little shops on St 240 and St 178. The excellent first impression upon check-in continues once the key turned. The room is well designed, sober and elegant. The bed is very comfy and the the air conditionning very efficient. Each member of the staff is very polite and nice, prompt to meet your expectations. Excellent french pastry next to the restaurant. Some little negative points as the sliding doors of the wardrobe, impractical, the gigantic bathtube, useless because of the too low water pressure, the room a bit too dim. An additional desk lamp would be helpful. The service at the breakfast could be also improved. But these are minor issues. Some reviews mentioned with regret the lack of a garden and a pool, given the rate of the room. If you need absolutely these features, I would recommend the Plantation hotel, but do not expect the same luxurious atmosphere.
For my next stay in Phnom Penh, I would definitely come back to the Arunreas.

This place is the opposite of Bambu Hotel Battambang. I almost feel the chef from Bambu should spend a few weeks here to experience the food service while the manager from Arunreas should go to Bambu to understand the importance of quality facilities.
Check in was good, check out was faster.
Things I liked:
- Restaurant and deli
- Price was good
- Nice hallways
Things I didn't like:
- Facility quality issues - lack of frosting on glass bathroom door, low quality tiling in bathroom (lots of ugly gaps), ugly room rug
- No outside areas

Luxurious lodging. Very spacious room, huge bath, great decor. Wonderful restaurant!
Do not miss the restaurant- French food/chef. Sumptuous breafast. This hotel is a real treat. Walking distance to the Palace.

My wife and I decided to try a night's stay at Arunreas before leaving for home. It turned out to be the best hotel stay we've had in years. We arrived too early when the rooms were being cleaned but the guest relations officer offered us a temporary room for us to rest and freshen up (which we declined). He served us a welcome drink and some delicious chocolates and macarons. We were given an iPhone 6 (containing the hotel's essential directory) to use during our stay and this enabled us to make local voice and data calls and surf the internet (which was most welcome as our own phone's roaming service had failed us).
The room was large, cosy and tastefully furnished with all the required equipment available for our use (including a coffee machine). The TV had 70 channels running. The bed was firm but had a soft top layer enabling us to get a decent sleep. The bathroom consumables were of a premium brand. However, the bedroom slippers were previously used. One major drawback with our room was that it was next to the water pump which was continuously working and generating quite an irritating noise.
The gem of the hotel was the in-house Khimea Restaurant which served probably the best breads and pastry in the city and some excellent dishes all round. We noted that a number of the city's residents also bought their meats, cheeses and breads from Khimea. The full breakfast was complimentary and well prepared.
The guest relations officer never failed to enquire if we needed anything else or any help at all and gave us good advice on the local taxi and tuktuk fares.

If I can remember correctly, different times have different menus. I normally order late and the selection is still decent. French/Western/Asian
So easy, just e-mail them in advance like I did!
