Quaint hotel, located near the Russian Market, so a bit far from town center. Nice area with a few restaurants, safe at night. Rooms are well decorated, very clean and spacious. A nice touch: a khmer storybook in English. Breakfast is ok with a mix of Asian and European food, fresh fruit and yogurt. Pool water is clean; friendly service with good English spoken.
Not these huge hotels . Perfect size. The staff is very professional and kind. The room is large, modern and very well equiped. A very lifefull aera. A place To be if you want To visit the city. We recommand this hotel.
Clean and tidy with balcony pool not ideal located and breakfast poor compared to others Well placed to visit all that the city has to offer but you will need to take tun tun to find better restaurants in the evening
Coshy hotel with combined office and restaurant, swimming pool and free, fast internet access. All rooms very clean, comfortable and with bathroom/WC. Breakfast with local Khmer food, fresh fruits, coffee, tea and orange juice.
Be under no illusion! This hotel is certainly not 4 star. but a shabby 2 star hotel, reception, pool, dining area all open plan! Checked in to find bathroom smelling, minbar empty ... on asking why the minibar was empty .., were advised this was because some of the minibar coolers were not working and so to avoid any confusion. Confusion for whom? They said they could order drinks to be sent up which wasn’t good enough as why should we have to pay for room service when the minibar is empty and/or not working? The pillow cases didn’t smell fresh and we had to ask for these to be changed. No hand towels in the room and an empty shower gel left in the bathroom. We called reception to ask for hand towels and shower gel and was advised it should be in the room instead of arranging to send this. We finally got the hand towels and shower gel. Also heard other guests asking got hand towels! Staff not exactly friendly either! Most of the walls are cement ... not painted so rooms and hallway full and grey! The floor leading to the bathroom has tiles surrounded by pebbles ... very odd and not really practical. Needed to take a shower in the morning but water was lukewarm. Also the water didn’t drain properly. Towels, bedsheets all look old. Have yet to try breakfast but are not expecting anything special! Location not ideal either.…
The Double Leaf has been a great experience for us. We were having troubles with another hotel and the staff at the Double Leaf were amazing. If I ever come back to Phnom Penh I will be staying here again.
Stayed here 2 nights as part of our big honeymoon trip. Nice big room with nice shower. Big bed but a little hard. Great location near some good restaurants - very much recommend One Eleven for delicious food. Breakfast ok but would be nice to have a few more Western options - nice eggs!
I stayed here twice during my tour of Cambodia. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, they remembered me the second time I checked in and welcomed me back as though they knew me. The rooms are well furnished and have a stylish modern look with complimentary water and tea/coffee facilities. A safe, a clean room and a comfy bed is what you need from a good hotel, but the Double Leaf goes further than this by their attention and friendliness of their staff. The breakfast service offers a well stocked buffet with hot and cold food, albeit sometimes unusual suggestions for the western travellers. A luggage stand in the room would be an improvement on an otherwise great hotel. The location of this hotel is good for getting around Phnom Penh, with transport never far away and a short walk away from some good bars and restaurants. …
A colleague of mine and I stayed at Double Leaf on a work trip to Phnom Penh. I was going back to the city after six years and it was her first trip. I was amazed by the changed face of the city. The best thing about Double Leaf is its location. The area is one of those trendy parts of town with little cafes and restaurants. It is also very close to the Russian Market. The other strong point is that it is reasonably priced. Double Leaf is also very beautifully designed. We liked the tasteful decor of the place. Don’t expect any view from the window of the room though. I was glad that some light came in. The drainage plan at the entrance isn’t working that well. We were there during monsoon and the entrance was often flooded! Staff were always busy trying to clean it up, All staff were very helpful and polite. Definitely a place to recommend and go back to. We might return there on our next work trip.…
It’s in a location walking distance from the Russian market with lots of eating options nearby. Nice spots all over to sit and relax with a small pool in front to cool off during the day The staff are very friendly and helpful and housekeeping is superb. They will arrange a tuk tuk wherever you need to go. It’s on a highly trafficked street and sandwiched between building so there are no views and I actually recommend you keep blinds and curtains closed. Only give 4 stars due to the following The bed is so hard! I felt bruised every morning Breakfast staff need to be more attentive. Breakfast items will finish from the serving platters and you have to call someone to refill it.
