My girlfriend and I stayed in a superior double room at the Anise Hotel, and upon check out we were told that we had to pay for an extra person because our room price that we paid online was only for one person ($37). We had to pay an additional $5.50. In 3 months of travels in SE Asia, this...

Dear guest, I am sorry you might have mistaken "double room" meaning that the room can accommodate 2 people for "double occupancy". On our website the prices for single occupancy and double occupancy for each room category are stated very clearly. Please verify it for yourself. True, you have booked through Agoda, and although it has its own way of...

Location, staff and hotel are all excellent. I have stayed there at least 6 times now and have always been impressed with how nothing is too hard for the staff. Highly recommend to all travellers. Food is also great with good options and the Mango Smoothies are the best in Asia,

My colleague and I can't say a bad word about the Anise, its not one of those flash modern places without any character, its clean, got everything you need, great ambience with many stories to tell. The hotel is in a great location and most importantly, helpful, friendly staff who pride themselves in helping you with whatever you need. (recommending...

Walking distance to local market and shops. Average breakfast. Good service from all staff but not all English speaking. Helpful employees and always happy. Tuk tuks available outside the hotel to go to River for restaurants or the palace.

The Anise is a gem - great location, ambience and most importantly, helpful, friendly staff who assist you with whatever you need. We also used Mr. Sothea as our Tuk-Tuk driver and we highly recommend him - he is the best!! We will stay here again on our next visit to Cambodia!

My husband I stayed at the Anise Hotel for two weeks. Jeff volunteered at the "Hope" hospital each week day and I explored the city alone. I used the same Tuk-Tuk driver each day and want to highly recommend Mr. Sothea, who drives the "Flower Tuk-Tuk". He spoke English and I felt safe with him. The Hotel and restaurant staff...

I really enjoyed the location of this hotel: it is in a nice part of town, away from the noisy busy and touristy centre, but at the same time at a short distance of the Royal Palace. Very nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was large and very clean. Views were not good though (only roofs and buildings), but...

I stayed here on a few occasions this month whilst in and out of Phnom Penh doing some NGO work. Very clean hotel, safe, great location even for a morning jog, staff are very hospitable, and the restaurant cheap but really great. I had to force myself to leave the hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights in December 2012 and really liked the hotel, it is in a safe location close enough to nice bars and restaurants and only a $2 tuk ride to the river front. The hotel has a really relaxed feel with a very nice terrace where you can relax while watching the world go by. The rooms...

I stayed in the Anise hotel for a fortnight before moving into a flat. The room was very adequate with all the necessary facilities. It was kept clean and laundry done promptly each day. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful and the service and food were excellent. As I was travelling...
