Room was fine, bit dirty in parts but the bed was comfy and clean and the staff friendly. Like another person wrote here, we had managed to not turn on the TV whilst travelling until we got here and watched national geographic for hours! Bit disappointed they didn't do food as lonely planet said they did.

Dreadful is the only word that comes in mind to describe this place! Please spend your money somewhere else! This place has mold, low ceilings, fans/AC where dirty and not working and I found dirt condoms and other yucky things under the bed. The host was simply rude.

Don't stay here if you have a choice. Room was dirty and moldy. Bed bugs! Staff very unfriendly. No service what so ever. The guesthouse must've got a new owner, hence the new name. Sunday Guesthouse is listed in the Lonely Planet, but Kim Samnang doesn't deserve to be mentioned there, apart from a warning maybe.

On the website the photos looked nice enough for just a couple of days. A very basic room with a ac and/or a fan and a seperate bathroom. When we arrived our booking could not be found. We booked 2 double bed rooms with fan. Ours was dirty, noisy and we had no warm water. The second day (when the... More

As we were taking night bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, and we will be reaching Phnom Penh in the early morning 5am, therefore we have requested for Free Tuk Tuk pick up service while we were booking the room. We got replied okay and were asked to give the hostel person a call when the bus arrived at... More

Maybe not the beat located spot (although it is walkable from s21 prison) this place is cheap, friendly, clean, has TV with movie channels! (At least one, we usually don't turn a telly on but here we managed to watch both Xmen and Die Hard- Aidan had a great time!) I have heard there are better located hostels along the... More

If you just want to stay for a couple of nights this is great just to use the bed. It's got clean sheets but the room is very small, a little dirty and quite gross. The guy on reception is lovely but I think this place is mainly used for locals as we were the only foreign people there. Good... More

Dirty and grimy prison cell rooms, unfriendly and unwelcoming staff. Yes this place is budget but it's not really worth the money you save. Rooms were depressing and never cleaned. Towels smelt like wet dog. Bad location (especially for girl travellers) we didn't feel safe walking round near the guesthouse. Close to s21 and the Russian market, everything else is... More

The staff were friendly, quiet location but needs a good clean. it was cheap and the mattress was good. I had the room with the short door, so I felt a bit like I was walking into a cave but this actually made it cool and quiet. Nothing overly "wrong" with the place, just surprised it was a top pick... Dirty (lots of spider webs) and buggy (we got eaten alive.) Hot water didn't work. They really need to do a deep clean. The front desk up-sold us on a minibus to siem reap, convincing us of the merits of the minibus to the big bus. We should have gone with our common sense and ignored his advice and gotten... More
