I have found this hotel the hardest to comment on as I have mixed feelings from my stay. I was excited for the stay at the Pavillon based on the reviews I had read. The hotel itself is well located, easy to walk to town and the independence memorial, boutique st and there are loads of tuk tuks out front...

Dear Whitnz, Thanks for reviewing us! I am sorry the check-in did not go as expecetd. We do have a check-in procedure with drinks, cold towels and nibbles. Not sure whi you did not get it. It comes with a map that we have printed and which gathers all the experiences Maads proposes... Hope you will come back so we...

When we arrived in Phnom Penh we were overwhelmed by the city and The Pavilion was the perfect haven during our stay! The hotel is in a super quiet location in central Phnom Penh- you literally do not hear street noise! I cannot praise the staff and food enough- everyone was incredibly attentive and the service and food amazing! We...

Very beautifully renovated colonial villa in the centre of Phnom Penh, with 2 swimming pools. Loads of charm, great breakfast, big rooms, free 25 minutes massage per check-in, everything perfect. Would definitely go again!

This hotel is in a great location, central to everything. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Great bar and restaurant and the breakfasts were delicious (included in room). The rooms are nice but when booking be aware that there is an old and a new part, I stayed in both but the new rooms are far superior so be...

Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for this kind review! Indeed, we have a boat and we organise sunset cruises on the Mekong and to the Bungalows, floating lounge, across the river from the Royal Palace. Best place for looking at the sun go down on the city. Cheers, Alexis

The Pavilion feels more like a lovely historic villa than a hotel. There are open courtyards, lush, leafy trees surrounding the pools and the wonderful feeling of serenity you get surrounded by all the quiet beauty. It's truly a gem and an elegant, discrete place to unwind. The food is also fantastic. I didn't expect much but the bar menu...

This hotel was a quiet little gem. The French colonial architecture and vast garden area give every room a sense of privacy. Breakfast was excellent and the two pools kept any one from being too crowded. My room was superb, with a huge balcony with a deck chair, table and a small couch. It is close to the Royal Palace,...

This is just a lovely hotel tucked away in the heart of the city. Walking distance to the river and the major attractions. Two pools for cooling off after long hot days. Staff was very helpful. Great value for the price of the rooms!

We loved our stay at the Pavilion. We were only there for one night but after our first minutes at the hotel, we were reluctant to leave. The hotel is an oasis in the bustling city of Phnom Penh. Checking in, we were treated to complimentary lime juice shots and sticky rice. Our room was comfortable and clean with both...

It's a 3D2N stay here for me. From customer service, to breakfast, to the rooms itself, all are good! However, there were mosquitoes in the rooms. And whenever I request for mosquitoes spray, they give me mosquitoes repellent instead. I'm not sure if the staff understand what I said. It was raining on the day I arrived. The staff outside...

Dear Josephine, Indeed we have both repellent and mosquito spray but not often used in the rooms as we have AC and mosquito nets on the windows and on the beds. Besides, we do a weekly fumigation in the gardens, so the problem is quite under control... Sorry about the umbrellas. The guards and the reception has them, sometimes they...

A great hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and prompt. The beds even had fresh flowers sprinkled on them! The complimentary breakfast and massage were great, and the restaurant by the pool served delicious food (if a little pricey compared to food in the rest of the city). There was one issue with booking...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
