The Pacific Hotel is the first explorer themed concept hotel in the centre of Phnom Penh’s exciting business district. Experience a stay in a hotel where the elements of design and service are tailored to keep you relaxed while walking you through the untold history of Cambodia. Journey through every province in our corridors, which serves as an interactive museum, while being treated like a VIP with our impeccable service for value. The Pacific Ocean derived its name for its specific use of being pacific, meaning “peaceful” or “characterised by calmness”. The Pacific Hotel serves the same purpose. It is an ocean for you to peacefully float on as you explore the beautiful aspects of Cambodian culture and history for the first time just as Ferdinand Magellan first explored the Pacific Ocean in 1520.

Hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms are clean and well presented. Minibar items were cheap and cocktails in the restaurant downstairs were good! Welcome drinks on arrival were a nice touch. Drinking water dispensers were available on each floor.

Close to Phsar Thmei (Central Market), Sorya shopping centre and not far from the bustling Riverside, it’s hard to argue with the location.
The hotel is clean and the staff (front desk and the chamber) are very friendly.
Our double room was quite spacey, although the bed was a little too hard for our liking. And there was a bath tub, not an ordinary shower, in the bathroom. Still, over all we were quite happy with the room.

However, the service in the hotel restaurant turned out to be very poor. The servers were not very attentive — actually they (at least some of the male staff) didn’t seem to care much at all. That’s also why we opted to have our breakfasts elsewhere.
Note: This critisism does NOT include the woman who served us on our first night (of three). She was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy her work.

I think the resting system makes it very difficult to assess the item being rated because there are so many tastes, interests, and expectations. I stayed in this hotel while I was on a G Adventure tour. It is ok. The room was clean and the staff was professional. We were first assigned a room with no window so we were going to move but our excellent guide, Lee, gave us his room with a window. We were assigned the no window room after we learned the air conditioning in our original room was not working. The hotel is inexpensive so if you are looking for an average hotel in this price range, it is ok, but be very specific about wanting a room with a window on a high floor. Rooms on lower floors are noisy.

Firstly, even though we had already paid for the hotel they required a deposit of $50 which we thought was quite dumb as we brought that money to use to spend on our trip.

The staff were nice but not very useful. For example we wanted to use the gym and they said they would open it up for us quickly, we waited outside for about 20min.

The rooms were decent, they had all the essential things you would need. Everything was also relatively clean.

I suppose I can rate this hotel as average at best. The hotel is an easy walk to many convenient businesses and staff were reasonably friendly and efficient. The room was a comfortable size and two complimentary bottles of water were supplied. Beds were comfortable and rooms were kept reasonably clean. The gym is small and a bit messy but is suitable for a workout whilst on holidays or business. Unfortunately it was found by one of the guests that the fire exits were either locked or blocked by mattresses that were “airing” and this was raised with staff at the time and they appeared to be at a loss as to what to do to fix it. However I should add that it was eventually fixed.

After walking with backpacks from the bus station, we were pretty hot and sweaty. We were greeted with cold, refreshing eucalyptus towels and a fresh juice at the front desk. As a further welcome, we were given two coupons for mugs of draft beer and some hand crafted soap samples. The staff have great customer service skills, always friendly and very helpful. The WiFi and aircon works great and it was the best breakfast we had travelling 2 months in SE Asia..a nice buffet with everything you could ask for. The location was great..central market about 5 minute walk. We also walked to the Grand Palace and the Riverside boardwalk in about 20 mins. We discovered a five story mall (Sorya)...also just a 5 minute walk. The staff booked our bus tickets for us and extended our checkout, also let us hang around the hotel until our late flight.

My friend and I stayed for 5 nights and would recommend this hotel. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The restaurant the Barb and Lotus served really good food and we ate there at least 4 times. The prices are more than reasonable. All the waiters and waitresses were friendly and helpful especially one young lady unfortunately we did not get her name.

When we arrived, we were given an advertisement about not changing the linen every day. In the meantime, I caught the flu with a bad cough and unpleasant phlegm. So I put a towel on the pillow to protect it. Early in the morning, at reception, I was asked for $6 to clean the towel. Either it's some kind of scam or Cambodia's laundry detergent is not good. So change your towels every day, it will avoid this kind of unpleasant surprise. Since they weren't nice to me, their rooms on the street are very noisy, traffic all night. And for people who want to be kings of cleanliness, you could have at least checked the bottles of water in the fridge, open and half full!
When you want to give lessons, you have to be clean. An address to leave for those who don't soil their towel, 38° outside and flu, no excuses accepted, but some money

This year it was my first experience in Cambodia. From 8.03-23.03.2022. All this time stayed at the beautiful Pacific Hotel. I have never regretted that I chose this hotel with its wonderful and friendly staff, cozy and comfortable rooms. I also really liked the breakfast, it was delivered to the room every day. Great friendly housekeeping service. The hotel has an elevator, a gym and a cozy lobby. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the Central Market. There you can find interesting and good quality things. Also nearby is the Shopping Mall with a supermarket and various goods stores, you can also buy a SIM card or top up your balance here. Convenient shops are nearby. The sights of the city are relatively close to the hotel: Royal Palace and Wat Phnom and various other temples. You can either walk or take a rickshaw. There are many types of transportation. In case, if you go to the airport in the evening, take a taxi 3-4 hours before departure. Very big traffic jams. If there is no traffic, it takes around 20 minutes. If there is traffic, the trip takes 1.5-2 hours. Traffic lights every 400 meters.
Dear team, thank you for your amazing hospitality! It was a great experience for me!

Avoid room 202. G Adventure had us here 2-nights. Room 202 is on the main highway side and sounds like you are sleeping on the sidewalk with trucks, car & motorcycles driving through your room all night. Room 307 was better the second night. An OK hotel, in a bad part town, on a main highway is a trifecta for a terrible night’s stay.

Dear Mrs Koss, First and foremost, we sincerely apologized for the inconvenience you faced during your stay with us. We also received complaints from you and your husband about our mattress and hot water and allow me to explain it here. As for the mattress, we tried our best to find the right balance between the softness and hardness of it, you might think its too hard but other guests might find it alright as different people have different preference and we try our best to accommodate to all. As for the hot water, there are individual water heater in each room and they are like the ones at our home which take times to be hot (around 5 minutes) and it can get very hot if you turn it to the maximum. I apologized that you did not find our hot water hot enough. We also apologized that you did not like our location but you may ask around or google it. Preah Monivong is considered the central of Phnom Penh where most offices are at and that is why you might find sleeping in room 202 like sleeping on the main road. We will do better in installing better sound insulation windows so as to block out as much noise from the outside as possible. We hope you gave us another chance to serve you again. Kindest Regards,
