Capitol is a great place if you're doing a quick, self-directed tour of Phnom Penh. It's in a busy corner which is actually kind of exciting - plenty of late night foods, bicycle rentals, tuk tuks, and dangerous traffic - but it's also far from most bars and nightlife which can be annoying. For as low as $3 you have...

We started with a roam around the area looking for good value rooms - there were 3 of us and a 4th on the way - we settled here for a number of reasons - the 3 bed room was HUGE and white and clean with it's own balcony (3 single/double beds each wioth access either side, as well as...

I Had a Colleague book a night for a quick social visit to Phnom Penh. Id been here 6 years ago and wanted a cheap place for one night. On arrival Í thought I'd made a big mistake 'the restaurant looked discussing, run down and I one of the most depressing looking eating places in the city. The entry to the...

When we arrived PP,we were very shocked to hear about Capitol Guesthouse. We've been told by the tuk tuk drivers about this hotel that this hotel is very noisy, dirty & small. But,once we reach Capitol Guesthouse,we're relieve, what the tuk tuk drivers told us is not true at all. The room clean and spacious! Cable TV,aircond, hot water and they provide tooth brush,soap...

we stayed there because we thought it'd be easy to get a bus. the room was dirty. first thing we saw was a cockroach (the corridors were filled with cockroaches). and the bed close to the light had lots of flying bugs and the long crawly types. in the end, we both squeezed into the twin bed for the night....

Capitol guesthouse is quite a popular guesthouse mainly because its so cheap. The rooms are clean, but the whole place could probably do with a makeover. The good things were that they have organised tours to the points of interest and can organise travel on to Vietnam. The restaurant was fine and there's even an ATM. A big con was...

I fall in love with this "old" guesthouse since the first time I got here. I shared a fan room with a fan, but lately I stay in an air con room with TV cable and hot water (that sometimes too hot and other time not hot at all) for $8. $10 for a twin bed room. I stay here...

I booked this guesthouse because it was near the bus station and I was arriving and leaving by bus, the only good thing about the guesthouse is the price, I did not think the location was great no bars near, the whole building is very old and run I wish I had paid more and picked a better hotel. I...

not such a great place to stay. everything about this place is mediocre and not much effort is put into anything. it was a decent enough room with tv, aircon and passable bathroom but i'm sure there is better available elsewhere for the same price. only positive is convenience of bus station.

It's alright place and very cheap. It's by no means bad, and the hustle and bustle outside the guesthouse is quite exciting. The tuk-tuk drivers outside can be a little hassly but are very polite and respectful when you say "Tay Arkuhn" (No Thanks). The good thing is ever tuk-tuk driver will know where it is and although we didn't...
