Not bad location and provided early check in free of charge. That was the only redeeming factor. Now onto the bad. The cleanliness of the room was poor, bathroom especially. Shower felt dirty to the point I actually wore flip flops in there. No hot water for the first day and a half then eventually got fixed. The pictures they provide on booking.com are inaccurate, the first picture is what you get, not the new updated looking rooms that they falsely advertise. Wifi is inconsistent. Only provided two pillows between me and my partner. The room smelt of cigarettes, balcony is tiny to the point its not worth having one, the plugs in our room were broken and wouldn't support charging our phones etc. A shame because we stayed in their sister hotel (Queen Grand Boutique) and we got what what was advertised and was cleaner and one hundred percent a better stay, so if you're thinking about staying here, stay in their sister one next door instead!!!

So it's in a decent enough location for Phnom Penh, everywhere is walkable or a short tuktuk away. But the pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. It's fine, and clean. But things like the shower silicone are mouldy and they didn't provide enough toilet roll, coupled with the misleading photos don't make an excellent experience. It's fine, cheap and the beds are comfy, decent location but don't expect 4*

Hotel is extremely clean and staff are very good. I was very sad to see they had closed the pool. Will not stay again. Many Hotels still have pool open. Also no longer do Breakfast. They say because of Covid but not all Hotels are the same.

I had the absolute pleasure of using this fabulous hotel twice for recent visits to Phnom Penh. On both occasions, I was warmly welcomed and experienced a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The hotel is efficiently run, peaceful and in a perfect location on pleasant Wat Botum Park. This park has an atmospheric, friendly, local feel in the late afternoon and early evening with families strolling, doing aerobics, jogging and walking. From the hotel, it is only a short easy walk to the riverfront, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum. The hotel restaurant is sadly no longer open but there are lots of good places to eat, including tasty cheap 'street food', or enjoy a drink within a short walking distance. Front desk staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating with special requests. Yoiklien, Theara and TyTy all deserve special mention as they were just so extraordinarily helpful and always welcoming. Theara was especially kind-hearted and caring. Thank you all so much! You're good adverts for the hospitality industry. Keep up the great work! The hotel also conveniently has a very reasonably priced laundry service. Given its excellent location and facilities, the room rates are very reasonable indeed. In my opinion, you would struggle to find better elsewhere. I can see why it was awarded the TripAdvisor 'Travellers Choice 2021' award. It deserves it! My standard room, with a small balcony, was well appointed, clean, spacious and very comfortable. All in all an absolutely superb choice of hotel and one I would very happily return to again and again, as I have done. I would very highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I look forward to my next stay. Thank you King Grand Boutique team for such a pleasant and comfortable stay!

the service is good and staff always ready to help. The first time I had a small room but next to the rooftop pool. the second one was great roomy and clean. Good breakfast. Location is close to the center 5 minutes' walk and as usual you have plenty of tuk tuk available.

We stayed at the King Grand for 2 days whilst passing through Phnom Penh and had a good stay. As most people have said its in great location. 3-4 mins walk from Mekong river front, 5 minutes walk from Royal Palace. The roof bar area, has a small pool and 4 sunbeds, and seats near the bar. The pool on the ground floor is slightly larger, and has a few sun loungers but you won't get the sun at all. From the roof bar you can see people take part in aerobics or dance to music, which is fun to watch. You also get to see the sun setting over the city. Rooms are comfortable, and have frosted glass bathroom cubicles, which personally we don't like but they seem popular in Cambodia. Breakfast in buffet style on the ground floor next to the pool area, orders for eggs if you want them are taken by one of the servers. All in all very good, clean tidy, and great location.

We had a very nice stay at King Grand Boutique Hotel. The location is very practical, walking distance from the very nice riverfront, the royal palace, Wat Botum Park and Bassac Lane-are (with many nice restaurants and bars). Breakfast was superb, nice buffet with many choices and eggs, pancakes from à la carte menu. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful in ordering bus tickets etc. I have to admit that the hotel is more worn and old than it looks in the pictures, and I was a bit disappointed about the roof top area with pool and bar. It was completely tiny and felt crammed with more than 5 people there, so we didn't use it at all. I don't understand how they have managed to photograph it to look so much bigger). But as we had plenty of other stuff to do in Phnom Penh, it didn't really influence our stay.

OK, clean room, decent bed, staff great and good choice for breakfast, even half decent Eggs Benedict! The hotel did its best to get us in early and we had a free upgrade, apparently. Location is OK. Downsides. Construction just across the road - unfortunately really noisy. Pool really is as small as you suspected, only 2 beds get any sun, if you are very quick. Our very small balcony was unusable especially because of the noise. Last evening our room was not cleaned, probably because of the number of guests leaving. You probably would stay for two nights and visit S21 and the Killing Fields. See the review for the Kathmandu Kitchen opposite..

A very clean hotel with two small clean swimming pools. It is well located in Phnom Penh, staff is friendly. Breakfast was fine (you can order an omelet from the menu included in the price). Lunch was ok, not wow. Room was spacious (we were there with 3 persons). Bed was ok, for us the mattress was a bit on the hard side (but this may be fine for others)
