The reception changed our booking without a notice and lied about it. Than they tried to scam us with 10$ to upgrade us to the room previously booked and paid for. We accepted what we got since we paid in advance. The rooms are not well maintained and the closet is broken where I could not close it. The ceiling... More

Cardamom Hotel is a 3 star with an awesome location. It is located in the heart of Phnom Penh, about 10 mins away from Central Market, Heart of Darkness (the area is similar to pub street in Siem Reap) and Dine in the Dark, Phnom Penh. I could walk to the Royal Palace which is located about 20 mins. The... More

Adequate room, bit on small side. Shower great, but could do with less mould.a/c excellent, bed & pillows excellent.Room safe easy to operate as very modern. The hotel is still undergoing newbuilding process , but noise is at a minimum-double glazing on windows. Good selection at breakfas buffet, unfortunately stone cold. A tuk tuk to Central Market $2 just great shopping-do barter but... More

My review covers 2 rooms for the reason below. The hotel is in a non paved street and there is lots of construction going on in there. It's about a 20 min walk to Wat Pnom, Silver Pagoda and Palace, and night markets. But from what I've been told a tuk tuk is only a few dollars. You are however... More

A most ordinary hotel room reeked of cigarettes even after asking for non smoking roadway outside looks like a bombsite as does the whole of 174 would never come back breakfast cold as common for some reason so order eggs only thing that is hot too far away from bar and food area on the waterfront and as there is... A budget hotel, rooms were spacious and clean, staff friendly. Nearby were a number of restaurants and bars catering for all budgets. Shops, including fair trade, were nearby. A 20 minute walk to the river and tourist attractions - palace, silver pagoda and the river walk, restaurants etc was pleasant and safe.

Location not great, need a Tuk Tuk to get to the Quay. Our room wasn't the cleanest, lots of mould in shower and really small bathroom, no attention to detail, the ice cube tray had mould all over it and filled with stagnant water. Hard, uncomfortable bed pushed up against wall, sheets quite rough, noisy air con made it impossible... More

Our room looked tired and was rather small. The air conditioning did not appear to take any notice of its thermostat setting. The bathroom needed maintenance or at least a thorough clean. Our visit was marred by a restaurant bill dispute with an incompetent and arrogant waiter. Having no knowledge of Cambodian dispute procedures I had to let it go,... More

Good hotel, pleasant stay. clean. Food and buffet was quite good. Not in a very central location but can be accessed by readily available tuktuks!! Recommended to have breakfast and do a tour the whole day, only come back in the night to sleep :)
