I ordered a cake from Sofitel. The Chef has done a great job decorating it. The cake taste so good and everyone love it. The Chef was so helpful. He listened to our ideas and then suggested what was the best option. We had such a great party.
From the time we entered the hotel to the time we left, it was all excellent. A lovely welcome at check in, with cold towels, drinks & flowers, at 1am! The whole place has an air of calm & tranquility. All the staff are professional & friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable & spotless. The pool was a welcome relief after a lot of sight seeing. The breakfast was very good, with a very wide selection. We also enjoyed an evening drink in Le Bar, very relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
The check-in process was seamless. The hotel was clean and the services staff was excellent and courteous. The room was spacious and overall experience was good. There is a driveway from the main road to the hotel. hence access would require one to walk out before joining the main street.
We stayed at sofitel phnom penh Its a beautiful hotel, great location near by aeon But……..i turned on the water to take a shower. dirty water kept coming out……. we couldn't take a shower ………… The dirty water didn't stop until we checked out…….
From the moment we got to the wonderful Sofitel it was amazing. The beautiful, kind, caring staff went above and beyond to make our time in Cambodia wonderful. They spoilt us so much we didn’t ever want to leave. We were there to be with and pick up a sick relative and the the staff couldn’t have been more understanding and helpful. It was also my birthday and I think the staff made my birthday one I will never forget from cakes to cards to well wishes it was amazing. Thank you so very much all the staff at the amazing, wonderful, fantastic, phenomenal Sofitel Phnom Penh Thank you all From all the williamson hill Clarke family ❤️
Colonial style hotel, well maintained. Very enjoyable stay. Room had a firm mattress, loved the wooden floors in the room. Great breakfast variety for everyone including the kids. The Italian restaurant is also worth checking out.
This is the first time we’ve been back to the hotel in years. It has gotten better if that is possible. The hotel lobby, rooms, club lounge and pool area are all well kept and appointed. All the staff are friendly and kid friendly. Also professional and accommodating, especially helpful with kids. We upgraded to the suite and club lounge. Strongly recommended. The room was comfortable with all the needed amenities. Sofitel have the best beds ever. Breakfast is an excellent variety with French pastries as well as Asian and western cuisines. Asian food with room service tasty and reasonably priced. Free limited mini bar. The lounge manager Nikkole and staff made us very welcomed. Terrific French pastries and sandwiches for afternoon tea. Dinner drinks a good selection of wine, cheese and light refreshments. They make a mean margarita so be warned. The kids loved the pool area with special kids pools and play area. Fitness center next door. Again staff great. There is another full size pool behind the hotel. The grounds are large and well kept, great green space in Phnom Penh. Aeon mall 1 is a 10 minute walk next door for all your shopping needs. Finally, the hotel has a live pianist that plays daily. It’s nice and relaxing when one is having a drink of resting in the foyer area.…
Firstly the staff are very good no complaints there. The room is ok but the toiletries are fastened to the wall so you have to leave the shower to get to them. The tv is useless no film Chanel’s or Netflix. The food is really bad. At breakfast I asked for eggs Benedict it was freezing cold. I asked for an omelette with salt and pepper, it came no seasoning and raw in the middle. Everyday the buffet was exactly the same, Very poor quality food. The brunch was even worse everything we ate was below standard apart from the roast beef that was good quality. The vegetables were all cold, the gravy even had a skin on it. Food in the lounge was also poor very small selection. The cocktails were good though. The hotel transfer was good. I did think It would of been appropriate to maybe have a small discount but nothing was offered. We told the staff all of this. The pool area was desolate no one there., no service, broken dirty tables and sunbeds,…
This is the first time i come to Phom Penh. Mr.Kim take me from Airport to Hotel. He drive more safe and introduce many places to me. He also take me to exchange my money with good rate. He's so kind and polite.
The Sofitel Phnom Penh is a wonderful property with colonial charm and impeccable service from the amazing staff. My family of four stayed at the Sofitel on two occasions during January and both visits were exceptional and we would happily return in the future. We loved: - The timber fixtures and detail. There is a real sense of character with the property. - The historical photos that they exhibited from the Sofitel's collection. This really gave a sense of history and depth to the property. It's more than just a hotel room. - The swimming pool is probably my favourite hotel swimming pool ever. It has a great combination of size plus depth - many resort pools are very shallow. - Great gym - Wonderful staff. Vutha at the Concierge desk was most kind and organised a river cruise for us at extremely short notice. - Clean Nitpicks: The Sofitel Phnom Penh is amazing and I've rated it five stars. The following nitpicks are just to give a sense of some of the quirks that we noticed: - The lobby has a cigar smoke smell. We're non-smokers with kids, so were uncomfortable sitting near the cigar bar when having our welcome drink. - The staff provided three wonderful cupcakes in conjunction with the first night's turndown service. This was great, but seemed to forget that there were four of us. - Similarly, after the room was serviced only three towels would be provided. This was always addressed promptly when we called housekeeping but was an odd quirk. - We stayed at the property on two separate occasions. On the first occasion, we were offered a selection of teas as part of the Sofitel's approach to good sleep. On our second stay, we weren't offered the teas. - The Sofitel Phnom Penh doesn't offer a tour desk. As mentioned above though, the Concierge doubles as this function an can help organise tours/transport but it's a noticeable omission for those that have been to other resorts. - The ironing board in the room was tiny. It seemed a bit out of place having such a low quality board in a room where everything else is five star. - No view from our family room (We could only see the big shopping centre next door). - The TV reception was poor and outdated. There was a lot of the characteristic static that you see from satellite TV systems from old hotels which is now noticeably antiquated. Other (lower tariff) hotels that we stayed at offered far better TV reception and channel selection (including streaming services in some instances). Overall, the nitpicks wouldn't stop us from returning. The hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to the Palace (export to get very sweaty though) and close to the BKK area which has some amazing food and affordable spa options.…
