No idea how people could negatively review this place, it is awesome. Tranquil ambiance; delightful staff, fantastic pool and amazing buffet. The hotel is elegant and luxurious and spares no attention to detail and the restaurant is equally sophisticated. The buffet is awesome, but please note, if you are a vegan, then there is almost nothing for you here. If you like seafood, then the Sunday lunch buffet is made for you! The cooking stations are fun too, as are the free self-serve cocktails and the chocolate fountain. Try a baked potato with raclette, absolutely delicious! Sumptuous surroundings, attentive waiting staff, delicious food and free use of the lovely pool...what more could I ask for? Except perhaps, vegan options for our vegan family member.

We live less than a kilometer away from Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeetra, and yet we have had two wonderful staycations here, once in November 2019, and another in May this year. Apart from that, we are in the second year of our membership with the Phokeetra Sports Club, which is offering us such craved for freedom to work out, swim, and play tennis so close to our home. Nowhere in Cambodia have we encountered such relentless pursuit of quality, service, and providing delight for the sheer pleasure of it. Sofitel can pride itself on having not only the best staff in Cambodia - and I would like to especially mention the remarkable host & gentleman Lionel, even though he has recently left to rejoin his family in Belgium - but on welcoming hoteliers who really will go the extra mile to make you feel at home. This is the best of France's accumulated "savoir-faire" and "joie de vivre" concentrated on 5 hectares of land in Phnom Penh, which offer a truly exceptional oasis of serenity in the rumble and tumble of Phnom Penh. Another great experience we recently enjoyed was the chef's cooking class at Da Forno, Sofitel's excellent Italian restaurant. Again, the staff went out of their way to gift us an unforgettable experience. You wanna get away from it all. you know where to go!

My family have been doing short staycation visits for the past three weeks to get us out of our apartment during Covid. Great staff and service despite their own challenges with getting food supplies and maintaining their own staff during the lockdowns. Highly recommend a short stay or two for families needing a break (kids as well as mums and dads!) Thanks to Lay Naron for the yummy dishes and for being flexible with the menu.

Dear Cheryl Gray, Greetings from Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra . We are thrilled to receive your 4-star review, thank you so much! Indeed our Family Suites have become quite popular. This room has been setup to specifically fulfil the needs of families with children, as it includes a separate living area. I am glad to see that you and your family enjoyed it as well. Also, I could not agree more with you that chef Lay Naron and his team are really cooking up with special menus. I will be sure to pass your praise on to them. Considering how much you and your family enjoyed the foods, I highly recommend for you to visit Do Forni restaurant next week on Thursday 20th till Saturday 22nd May 2021 SHELLFISH TAILS by Chef ERIC BERRIGAUD with special 7-Coures set menu . I can guarantee it will be a memorable dinner experience for your family! Thank you again for your review, I will be sure to share your positive comments with our team. We are looking forward to hosting you again soon.. Sincerely, Charles-Henri Chevet General Manager

I was in Nagaworld last week for a short stay of 2 nights on work. The hotel is charming and the service is excellent. Great staff James and Dyna, extremely helpful and friendly which I had not expected having just returned from a trip in Spore. That was a pleasant surprise. I love the small gesture of turning up my bed in the evening when I am out. Also the food spread was good. I would love to come again possibly on a vacation

As part of my staycation at some luxury hotels in Phnom Penh, I decided to give Sofitel a try. I stayed for 1 night in the hotel’s luxury room, which comes with a balcony, and very much enjoyed the flawless service that I received from staff (e.g. Solomon and Xin Joe Khor at reception; Kimley at breakfast; So Sony and Phanna Lean at Do Forni). I very much appreciated the hotel’s tailored service by giving me complimentary mosquito repellent and hand sanitizer in light of my needs, as well the options for late check-out and for where I could have my complimentary breakfast if I wanted to keep a good distance from others as part of COVID-19 preventative measures. Fortunately, the business lounge (or what used to be the Chocolate shop), where breakfast is being served during the COVID-19 period, was not very busy when I went. I’m also grateful to Chef Valentino for preparing my custom designed vegetarian dinner to take away upon check-out before Do Forni opened. I enjoyed the greenery outside the business lounge whilst I ate a great western breakfast that included fresh carrot juice, waffles, and pancakes. I also enjoyed the views from Room 1106, as well as sitting in their large lobby (which fortunately at the time had no lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the air, which can come from the bar next to the lobby). Hopefully the hotel will be renovating its dated rooms soon. I can’t say I found appealing the orange floor tiles in the bathroom and the rough fabric on the sofa and lounge chair. But, for 1 night, it was fine.
