I stayed here almost two weeks. The position is perfect, in BKK1, easy to walk around and find many different restaurants (Khmer, Asian or European cuisine). I was in room 14 because I need a terrace and the room is big and clean. I strongly suggest it because it is a good compromise quality/price.

My experience was average with Goldie Boutique Guest house. If you are looking for budget hotel .Then it is ok but if you are looking for some good hotel with good internet facility ,tea/coffee ,.Then it is lacking somewhere. Only thing that the locality of this hotel is perfect .You can find all things near by.

I stay at Goldie's when I am in Phnom Penh for a day. Basically, the $20 and $25 a night prices (which hace been the same since 2010 or before) are good for what Goldie's offers. It is in a safe location in thd heart of BKK1, probably the most prestigious and safest neighborhood in Phnom Penh. (Most of the western residents live here). Good restaurants and bars around (but not girlie bars in this area), but close enough if you want it. Without that element, the more dangerous elements of Phnom Penh are absent. I always put single female friends on a budget here. Goldie's is NOT a beautiful place! But everything works and there are always one or two rooms available, yet the reservation system works well, too. The $25 rooms with balconies are much nicer than the $20 rooms. And even within the same price, the rooms very a great deal in quality. Staff is efficient and friendly, if a bit standoffish. Security is excellent. The guesthouse is locked by 11 pm at night (but a security guard is Always inside to let you in if you have been out boozing) and you can lock your rented motorcycle inside at night without fear. Don't order coffee or drinks inside, but great stuff right on the street, including 0.50$ Khmer coffee, or fantastic French bakery 30 meters away (Comme a La Maison), or the famous Khmer Surin restaurant aceoss the street. Well known Street 278 full of bars and restaurants is around the corner, yet far enough away that it is not noisy. Basically, well worth the $20 or $25.

Booked directly with hotel by email, quick response. Tuk-tuk driver from airport could not find guesthouse so best to say Khmer Surin restaurant which is opposite. Stayed 3 nights in room 10 which is upstairs at rear - small simple room with double bed and small bathroom AC /fan old TV and refrigerator cost $18 per night. Bathroom is really just the toilet with a shower and sink when using the whole area get wet. It was clean enough and daily cleaning and 2 bottles of water provided. Whilst it was OK for me there are other much nicer rooms. No food is provided but there are plenty of nearby cafes geared to expats can by costly by local standards. There is a very good market about 15 mins walk south down street 57 where you can get good local food and fresh fruit for a small price. There is a massage salon attached to guesthouse which is quite good too. Staff helpful and friendly. Note there is a lot of major building construction nearby so be careful which room you get in case of noise.
