I booked 3 nights, and I arrived late in the afternoon. While the hotel grounds are very peaceful and well kept , the room was not. The ceiling leaked badly, the floor was buckled from moisture, the walls were moldy, the bathroom was devoid of any products, the shampoo and soap bottles were empty.
I stayed at the Blue Lime for 3 days in June. First impressions the hotel looked like it had been hit hard by the COVID pandemic. The place was in need of a good clean and a total refurb. I was staying on the top floor there was no lift. The guy from reception didn’t even offer to carry my bags to the room as I followed him up the steep stairs. I woke up one morning there were plasterers repairing the walls on the stairs, there was dust and plaster everywhere! The room was dusty and everything was old, it reminded me of a student bed sit. The bathroom was off the balcony so at night mosquitoes were in my room after going to the bathroom. I contracted dengue fever after being bit many times. The pool area wasn’t even used, the towels were threadbare and the breakfast was a joke. I was glad to leave this place.. having read the reviews I am gobsmacked reading them although most are really old. On the whole this place is badly run, my advice as a reputable travel agent pay a bit more and stay at a decent hotel fir eg. TheHarmony Hotel or Sun and Moon..…
Great authentic boutique hotel . We travelled as a family and enjoyed cooling off in the pool in the afternoon after a days sight seeing . The staff were welcoming and helpful with some good suggestions . The rooms were spacious and airy . We had a wonderful time 🙏🤗♥️
I stayed for a night at the hotel and loved its tranquility, the refreshing pool and friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. The location was really central. I left a pair of earrings at the hotel and they kept them safe for me to pick up after a few days.
Horrible communication. Booked through hotels.com and couldn’t make my flight due to Covid. The place never got back to me about changing my date by a couple of days and charged me 70$ with no refund or message back. Will not rebook. Very disappointed and will stay anywhere else now
I stayed here for the month of October and loved it. The rooms are very tasteful, the pool is excellent - plenty of shade, so it's useable all the time. But the best part was the staff - they were also friendly, helpful and welcoming - they really made it an enjoyable stay beyond any expectations! Thanks :)
Having stayed here before, I recommended it to friends & we booked four rooms with balconies for a two night stay. One friend was checked into a room without a balcony, but was moved. My room was very nice, soft bed, great balcony. I understand that COVID has affected the hotel industry, but some warning would have been nice about the restaurant and bar being closed. We sat by the pool the first day and watched the welding being done...eventually complained and they stopped. Then, (in a no children policy hotel) we watched a child cycling round and round the pool. Day 2 - 5 very poor choices for breakfast. Sat by the pool - welding again, complained, welding stopped for a few hours, then started again. Child riding round the pool. Day 3, another poor breakfast and when my friend asked for a second coffee was told that she had already had her two allowed drinks! Water pressure in basin and shower was poor, and took ages to get hot water (if any at all). We asked for a discount and they eventually gave one of our group $6 off! Overall, very disappointing, especially as I really enjoyed my first stay there.…
So I booked this hotel because of the reputation and as their website says no children are allowed so I thought it might be quiet which I wanted at this point in our travels. I will say they do mean it when they say no kids. Almost every day we saw at least one group trying to check in with children and every time the hotel staff firmly insisted that children were not allowed and I think they had the family stay in another property. I put this first in the review so possible customers with children know as I think the policy was buried in the website we used for booking. Anyway, we stayed in two different rooms as we ended up extending our stay in Phnom Penh. Our first room was one of the 2 tiny rooms off the reception area. The room was small but surprisingly quiet. That was my favorite room although the room definitely needed a refresh and we did have a problem with ants. Our next room was a more expensive room (I think the room number was 12). Although nice to have a spacious room with a balcony, it was very noisy on that floor. We could hear our neighbor banging around their room after a night of drinking. Also, we twice had problems with hot water in the morning and had to call the front desk. The staff was nice but was not able to answer questions regarding hours of operation for tourist sites during the holiday.…
I enjoyed my stay at Blue Lime. The hotel is located in a small alley and therefore away from the hustle and bustle and very quiet. The staff is very friendly. The room was compact but who cares when you have a fantastic pool area to enjoy. The water temperature was fresh so perfect to swim. The breakfast was good, taken by the pool. I made the most of it before heading home and being confined due to covid-19. I'll definitely go back there when I come back to Phnom Penh.
Blue Lime is beyond superb. The staff treats you kindly and with genuine warmth, they provide juice and cookies upon arrival, there are 4 new bottles of water in your room daily, and they work patiently with you when your plans had to change because of COVID19. The grounds are gorgeous and they give you a great breakfast.
