What a great hotel this is. The room was large and spacious. The bed is comfortable. The aircon works well, there is a fridge, water, kettle, a place to hang your clothes, toiletries, a bath and shower, towels and a gorgeous balcony to sit and enjoy although I didn't have any views other than the busy road which made it noisy at night but this is to be expected as the location is amazing! Next to Bassac Street, I really liked this hotel!
The staff are warm and welcoming.

Point to note: The room has no safety deposit box.

Highly recommend!

Very good overall experience. Hotel is located in a great location not far from Bassac Lane or The Riverside. Room was nice and had good water pressure. Only complaints were the smell of cigarettes and ash in the bed frame. Mattress was a bit tough as well. Still a good experience overall.

Got a clean and comfortable room. Smelled good. Property is well taken care. Staffs were friendly. Margaux took care well of needs. Breakfast could have been better. Too simple. Location is slightly away from the center however its close enough to riverside. Will stay again

Very disappointing. We booked a Premium deluxe and as rhe electricity of the room went off, we had to move to an oher smaller room. Not that nice and spacious. We did not get a Refund.
The Staff hardly speaks english and they are not very well trained.
The nexr Day our room wasnt cleaned and we had to order that after a long day of sightseeing 😢
The fitting of the rooms is very old and simple.
We will not come back.

If you’re considering staying here DO NOT DO IT!!!

The manager threatens you

The lights never go off and when explaining this to management their response is: well you should just sleep with the light on

There is no hot water and when explaining this to management their response is: HAHA some rooms work some don’t it’s not our problem.

When asking for a refund be prepared for the staff to threaten you, and not give you back your money.

I ordered food to the hotel which the staff then stole and ate themselves then denied ever doing it.

Be cautious of the manager. He is rude and scary and takes no responsibility for the state of the hotel.

They have just reopened but should have stayed closed.

BE CAREFUL OF THE MANAGER!!!!! Scary behavior

This is the worst hotel in Phnom Penh

This hotel is nicely located and you can reach the major tourist attractions with a tuc tuc.
The room was spacious and had a fridge, kettle, coffee tea and sugar. Two bottles of water was provided daily. The aircon was good in the room. There was a flat screen TV in the room with some good English channels.
The free Wifi was of good signal.
I had to remind the cleaning staff to clean the room on 2 days and to refresh the coffee supplies and toilet paper.
Breakfast was the best occasion and both Western and Asian food was available on the menu. The presentation of the food was also very professional and appetizing.
The pool was very nice and I could swim in the morning to start my day and enjoy the view of the surrounding area.
I would recommend this hotel for its location, the food, friendly service and the pool facilities.

I picked this hotel because I love the room decor and it's on the Giant Ibis bus pickup list for my next destination- Siem Reap. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel is new, only started operating a few months ago. The breakfast was nicely done and with some fresh fruit, juice and croissants on the side. I had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. There are a lot of things on the menu I'd like to try. Overall I really enjoyed my stay!

I brought a team of 18 to Cambodia and booked the Monsoon Bassac because the sister hotel (Monsoon Boutique( didn't have enough rooms. The service was fantastic and they easily accommodated my large team. The property is well maintained and in a good location. Staff is attentive and the owner is very involved in the operation. I will use this hotel again next year.

Been here 2 times and will come back for sure. I would say this is my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh. Good value and location (close to Aeon Mall 1 and not too far from the city center). The room was always nice and clean, with small balcony outside and stone bathtub inside your bath room. The staffs are helpful and friendly.

I have no major complaints about Monsoon Bassac. The staff was nice enough, the room pretty clean, a nice small balcony overlooking the street. The decor was cute and the bar outside looked fun.

There was a bit of an ant issue in my room, and the bathroom was not as advertised (no bathtub, but that’s fine). Shower is not hot in the mornings (I guess at the times when many people are showering). I also had an incident where I was waiting at the bar for service and two different staff saw me but did nothing. They were out of several of the lower priced wines — I found out when I finally got service. Not a huge deal, but detracted from the overall experience a bit.
