1. Very close to the office
2. Located not in the main road, little bit quite from blowing horn
Room is tidy and amenities are ok, easy & fast check in and check out process.
Staff is very friendly, room service also delicious.
The room that was given did not lock from inside and in spite to changing the room the reception argued that it was ok and when I pushed it they mentioned that it would be done the next day and started giving excuses that no one would disturb you. Really!!!! You expect me to sleep in the room that does not lock?
The shower was bad and not maintained since long.
A more minor issue is that the breakfast is terrible. Basically there is little more than sweet cake and fruit. However the fruit tasted strongly of onion/garlic probably from using an uncleaned knife or chopping board/area.
An apartment tower seems to have been modified to make a hotel. The rooms are small and crampy missing the basic necessities. Even I could not find a working electric socket to charge my Cell-Phone. Despite multiple reminders, they failed to provide any and neither did they think of changing the room.
Thankfully I had a colleague staying up in our corporate guesthouse. And I could spend most of the time there and returned only to get the sleep.
Room cleaning was irregular. And at times required multiple reminders to even get a fresh towel.
Ok, if that's not enough, get to the restaurants and you will be surprised to see the breakfast spread. It looks kind of a spread for dolls, your daughter plays with. Thanks to the location, there's a lot of good restaurants in the vicinity to save you.
Its just the wrong time of my visit; our corporate guesthouse was full and so was Westin, Radisson, Four Points and all other decent ones; I had to force stay in this. But then I made sure I wrapped up all the weeks schedule into three days and fly-off the city.
Hotel situates slightly off from main roads in a residential area.
The main issue was that they were unable to provide a working sound system and it was only after a member of our party intervened on the 5th day that we got anything to work properly. The room they provided us with was totally unsuitable as well. They had basically partitioned off part of the restaurant area so throughout we had other guests interrupting, staff chatting away and the phone going off. They also charged us for things like flip chart paper and marker pens.
Throughout the week the general managers were completely unhelpful and disinterested and we only managed to get the sound system working on the final day of a 5 day workshop. The owner and his daughter also refused to see me up until the penultimate day and then simply told me that it would be fixed by the final day so what was my problem?! I run many workshops as part of my job and we always get the participants to rate the venue for its suitability and comfort as part of the final evaluation. This is the only one that has ever received an average score rating it as 'poor'.
The rooms here are fine, even if some of them are small and the location is fine as well. However, for business purposes it is completely unsuitable and the attitude of the management and owner stinks. There was one helpful guy on the front desk who was really trying to help us throughout all of this but at the end of the day he couldn't fix all of the problems on his own. He was great though and I really appreciated his support when the general managers/owner/director wouldn't even talk to me!
I spent a day looking around alternative options for future events we hold in Dhaka and found some at the same price that look far better. I also saw other guests cutting their stay short as they weren't at all happy. Until this place sorts itself out and the owners start to think a bit more about the service they provide then I'd give this place a miss!
"We chose a suite as we were there for 10 nights good choice as the rooms we saw were very small, ok for a short stay but if staying as a couple for some time I would recommend asking for a suite."Read full review
