Arriving at the Pacific late at night was almost a nightmare. There was more garbage in the hallways than in bins... People smoking on the corridors, water bottles and paper thrown around, dust, you name it. The room seemed like it hasnt veen cleaned in the last decade... maybe more. Hot water was a joke: you have to be THE...

We stayed here after 2 nights at Al Razzak down the road (which is lovely, and almost half the price but room's were booked). Pacific was much much worse. Not cheap by South Asian standards (double what we consider budget in india & rest of Bangladesh) and the rooms are horrible. Dirty sheets, cockroaches galore, no windows, shower not properly...

This was the most affordable hotel we could find in the city center. The owner was friendly. Once I requested additional cleaning, the room was more comfortable and tolerable. The Internet was good, but only available in the lobby and the kitchen. The food was good! We had cable TV in our room. The shower had strong pressure with hot...

The best way to describe this hotel is- alright. The place was adequate and generally clean, with wifi and hot water (most of the time). The staff were often incredibly unhelpful, and though they spoke fine English, their English diminished suddenly as soon as you had a problem. Wifi would sporadically vanish and the hot water would not work for...

Horrible experience, Absolutely unsatisfying unprofessional and unhelpful staff the hotel didn't seem to care, the reception staff would play on their mobile phone while I waited to be served. let me point out what all is wrong with this hotel 1. the reception staff certainly wasn't courteous, I am sure a smile or even a fake smile wouldnt hurt. I booked in here from 10-15 December 2014 and extended by a week. Basically, if you're looking for places to stay, this will do. The rooms are pretty good for the price and mine had a vertigo inducing balcony as an extra. If you've any issues, say needing an extra clean or anything a gentle word with the staff works...

The staff is very friendly and helpful, that has to be said. But the hotel is overpriced especially, if you see that the wifi is not properly working in the hotel even though they specify in advance that it does work, and that the rooms are not really clean. I guess the best thing about this hotel is its location....

The reception looks nice and some of the staff are friendly and speak English. The room was really dirty and under the bed was heaps of trash, TV didn't work, van was loud and it seemed all a little wet. The bathroom was terrible, lots of hair, broken things and it was dropping down from the ceiling. The people working...

In hinsight I found most of Bangladesh accomodation overpriced compared to what you get in other Asian countries, but hey... that's just the way it is. - We stayed here 3 times: the more expensive rooms are the best maintained (stayed in one once because there was no other available and it was obviously cleaner, had a fridge & towels)...

I have traveled all over India and SE Asia and for $30 US, this has to be one of the worst quality for money hotels I have stayed in. Negatives - I got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant (required antibiotics to fix) - very dirty hotel (stains on the sheets/mattress, dirty walls, bits of electrical applicants and wood stored...

“The balcony is small, secure and vaguely alarming, with a view of the city waking up each morning. Alright, it's the financial district and the view isn't that great, but worth the extra euro! On Fridays, the kids play cricket in the street outside, grab a paper, cup of tea and enjoy spectating.”
