Luxurious experience of staying right in the middle of the otherwise chaotic Dhaka city and enjoying fresh air with amazing food served out here. The best part was staying on a special floor which has a guest lounge catering fine wines to foreign guests in a dry country!

Lovely lounge arewa - I've been coming here for decades. I ordered a tonic water and samosas: the latter took 70 minutes to arrive. I bought six postcards at the shop (which does not sell stamps) and then attempted to obtain them from reception. They used to be sold by the concierge. No longer. So I must go to the...

Dhaka was a bit overwhelming so it was nice to walk into the air-conditioned lobby of the Sonargaon and feel safe. While we were in Dhaka, there was a strike and occasional bombings in the city. Hotel staff communicated clearly and, I repeat, the hotel felt like a refuge. The prices for food are much more what you would expect...

The hotel took our transfer from the airport very seriously - we had an armed member of the military (I think) literally ride shotgun with us to the hotel. Good rooms and very helpful staff. Only complaint was the dining options weren't great and when we repeatedly asked for local Bangladeshi cuisine were told yes they serve plenty of Indonesian...

I stayed for 4 nights during the general strike. The hotel had arranged in advance an escort to and from the airport and had appeared to have good security at the hotel itself. The Executive Level rooms were satisfactory in terms of size and cleanliness but nothing special. I found the breakfast buffet choices were adequate although the televisions where...

Centrally located, awesome food, good ambiance inside..what else you need? Rooms are well equipped. What I admired most was the large menu of food available at Cafe Bazaar, their multi cuisine restaurant

This hotel is old with rooms/decor that look dated. Bathroom extremely small. Room was like from the 80s with uncomfortable beds, old carpets and curtains. There was poor noise insulation with unbearable street/traffic noise despite my room being 7 floors up. Dhaka traffic in unbelievably noisy with horns, sirens, louspeakers etc going all day and night! Don't expect a good...

I will rate this hotel between Average and Very Good. Rooms are standard and charges seem to be on higher side considering overall quality. Pool side bar n food attracts 50% tax all put together- seems on higher side. Breakfast spread needs improvement. Location of hotel is the main advantage as its in centre of City . Staff is very...

Royal Treatment. I booked a pacific suit on eight floor of the hotel which comes with a great experience like personal butler service and other facilities like 24 hours refreshment and sure for a great room size with hall. The ambience of the hotel is great though bit expensive . The food variety as compared to a five star category...

We stayed here for an international conference that was inaugurated by the prime Minister of Bangladesh. Despite having scanners and guards all over, my camera was stolen from my conference bag from a small room int he hotel. We found cctv footage of someone stealing it, and handed over the evidence to the hotel and lodged a police report. It...
