Excellent property .... They were very cooperative with us . We wanted to upgrade to a sea view room which was immediately done . Mr.Shahin was very helpful at the same time. We ordered food from Room Service ..the pita bread was cold and hard . Not as expected.
It is my fav place for my business trips every time. I am really enjoying my time at this hotel. Because from service to rooms, rooms to food, food to spa everthing is perfect. I really enjoyed my hot stone treatments this time and also thanks Irada for my manicure.
I do not know where to begin. I booked 2 nights at this hotel in a Fairmont Gold City View room. As soon as I arrived the horrible experience began. To summarize: 1. The check in staff told me that he does not have a high floor room as described in Fairmont Gold and gave me a low floor room (number 1408). 2. He also told me that the breakfast is not being served in the lounge and that it has to be in the main breakfast area. Also not what is described on the Fairmont website. 3. I walk into the room and it has nothing to do with the pictures they show for a Fairmont Gold Room. 4. The shower faucet is replaced with a non original one and water leaks everywhere. The hose is also leaking. 5. The USB charging unit is broken. 6. The coffee maker is broken. 7. The safe doesn't work. I was too tired to call reception so I slept for the first night. As soon as I woke up this morning I called reception and told them all the broken things. They told me they will send maintenance staff. To summarize what this rude staff did: 1. They got me a new coffee machine which was dirty. 2. They could not fix the safe, 3. They could not fix the USB port. 4. They could not fix the bathroom faucets. 5. All they did was dirty the room with dirt and water. When I complained they told me they will talk to the manger. After a bit they came back and told me that the manager says they cannot do anything as they are busy with an Embassy delegation. SO THEY DID NOTHING. They left without fixing or offering alternative or anything. They do not care about a customer. The fact that their reply was nothing can be done due to being busy with an Embassy delegation make this hotel deserve not even one star review. The General Manager should know about this and how this hotel is run with rude and non professional staff.…
I stayed in the Fairmont Flame Towers Baku when I was traveling in the South Caucasas region. They are an iconic property that overlook Baku. The hotel is in one of the three towers, the one that is facing the Caspian Sea. Everything about the hotel seemed well thought out. The room I booked (king deluxe, see view) was perfect and had a lovely view of the Caspian Sea. Inside, the room was quite spacious and there was lots of space to put suitcases, clothing with space to spare. They provided four complimentary bottles of water every day. The fitness center, which I always visit, wherever I stay was very well appointed, almost like the gym I pay at home. The indoor pool is nice and so is the thermal suite. The few small complaints I have are: -Reception is very small and I saw it become overwhelmed quite regularly. Need larger space and more staff -Breakfast, even though it is wonderful, was not as impressive as I thought it was going to be for a hotel of this stature -Hot water took a while to turn hot -It's kind of isolate. Not a lot of retail and places to eat within a 20 minute walk from the area. Despite these small issues, I would definitely stay there again. I mean it's iconic.…
The hotel has a beautiful setting and convenient location but we had a couple of issues during our stay which has led to the lower rating. Firstly, there were bugs in our room which was awful but the hotel took swift action and upgraded us to a small suite. However, the fact that there were there in the first place is not what I would expect from Fairmont. Secondly, there was an awful smell from in the toilet room in both rooms. We complained and were advised the engineer had resolved it but the pong remained. Thirdly, breakfast is a buffet but staff have to serve you. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and this led to long waits - especially when you have the same one person serving juices, cereal, breads, pastries and toast. They would also everyday run out of croissants by 9ish when if you know this is happening, you would expect them make more for the next day. Fourthly, there is no milk / creamer provided with the tea and coffee facilities in the room. When I asked the hotel for milk, I was advised this was classed as a room service item and would be chargeable. Despite these issues, our overall stay was ok and the staff do try to help as much as possible - the concierge service was particularly great. It just wasn't the standard I would expect from 5* Fairmont…
I would rate this hotel as an average one. It’s not luxury one as it’s supposed to be. First of all, you may call 5 times to the Royal service and they answer the call in some minutes only. You may ask for something, they can forget or it will take a lot of time. I had to make many calls to get what I needed. Secondly, it was too noisy in the room because if the wind outside, they changed the room, but it was the same. That’s the reason why it was too cold in a room. By the way, I had to use earplugs, because there was too much noise from the wind. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr Shahriyar from the reception, he is the only one at this hotel who just tried to did his best and helped. Thirdly, there were not sausages at the breakfast, when I asked for them, the staff said they were run out of any sausages, they said it would be tomorrow only. First time I faced this at such hotel as Fairmont. Fourthly, rooms are outdated, they have to make a renovation of rooms, it looks like they don’t even take care much of the condition of the hotel. Next issue: Windows were very dirty. One more issue: it was really long waiting for orders on the 19th floor. Sometimes they forgot what I ordered. And you should know there is no Gold lounge now, you can grab some beverages at the lobby bar before 6pm, on 19th floor after 6pm. One more huge problem I guess - no one would meet you at the entrance of hotel and help you with your luggage. Too hard to meet some staff with smile on the face. What I liked was the view from the room. It’s the best view in Baku. Comfy beds. Nice housekeeping service. Good quality of food on 19th floor and in lobby bar/lounge. Really good staff at the lobby lounge.…
The hotel is located centrally and the view from the rooms are amazing. The rooms are big, spacious and modern. The staff are very courteous and helpful. A big shoutout to Mr. Zaur Agayev and his team for his amazing hospitality, we are definitely coming back to Baku and Fairmont soon.
Amazing service at breakfast. Ramin Eyvazov is the best host, who takes real pride in taking care of his guests. He personalised the service for our entire table every single day. Nothing was too much trouble and he provided service with a smile. Beautiful building and fabulous spa. The reception staff were really helpful, as were concierge. Anar and the team were great. Thank you- we will be back!
Booked a Deluxe Sea View room for our first night in Baku, and our guest relations executive Shahriyar Aliyev upgraded us to the Family suite, not only was he very welcoming but also went out of his way to contact the Rolex boutique to setup an appointment for us, made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Definitely book when visiting Baku.
Excellent service, very nice view and the food is very tasteful. The hotel has its own spa, which has been amazing. We could always rely on the staff members, especially Shahin and Zaur. Thank you Fairmont!
