I stayed in this hotel for a week starting 25 April. I went there on a package tour group. This was supposed to be a 4 stars hotel! Even one star is too much for this hotel, in fact, I am not sure how the tourist board in Baku allow for such hotel to exist. There was no issue with the staff, it is just the hotel is so dirty, lack of facilities, location, services...you name it, it doesn't have it. 1) all the carpet are so dirty and filthy. The bathrooms outdated and some taps broken, there are no coffee or tea facility in the room, there is small empty fridge but nothing in it. we were in a twin room. When the cleaners come to clean the room, sometimes they put 2 small bottles of water, other time one bottle or they forget completely, same thing with towels some time they put back 2 towels or they forget and leave the room with one Towel! The room is very filthy and outdated. Breakfast: I stopped going down for breakfast after 2 days, it is simply a very limited selection, dirty,, only tea there is no coffee, the cheese is inedible. Location: the hotel is in an industrial warehouse area, way out of town, not a single market or shop near there, you need to take a taxi every time you want to go out. The hotel has one bar/ cafe (and it is the same for the breakfast) always empty, only one Nescafe they have, so don't think espresso or even Turkish coffee. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym, the gym is ok but with old equipment. The swimming pool is big but the water temperature is too high so you feel tired after one length. My opinion is shared by all the people with us in the group, they took their complaints to the tour operator. for me, I just want to forget this bad experience.

On the website the pictures show a different view. Before I arrived I reserved twice the presidential suite. I called a day in advance and it was confirmed over the phone that I reserved the room. Upon arrival I was unable to get this suite. Not sure why. Instead I got a junior suite and was promised the presidential suite the following day. (This is a smoking hotel) Upon entering the room I noticed a HUGE void in the room where furniture could go. A lot of space that isn't taken up and just wondering why something isn't there. The carpet needs cleaned or replaced. The bathroom has NOT been cleaned and I wore the package wrapped flip flops just in case I would get athletes feet. I could physically see the human hairs inside the bathroom on the floor. I counted 5 and they were very long. Just in case i smelled the bed sheets and they smelt okay for now. For a junior suite the softness of the bed was below 50%. More like a deluxe room bed. The bar downstairs is open 24/7 however the people running it are 19 and 20 yr olds with a 40 yr old supervisor that sits and watches as the younger people try to make drinks. I had to show them how to make a Malibu and coke. I haven't tasted the food yet but I am not sure it will be good. I will also test the fitness, sauna and pool tomorrow to see how it is. The air conditioning is not working and it is hot. I have opened the only window in the room and it is still warm in the room. The hair conditioner, shampoo and bath soap is only 1/3 full so I am glad I brought my own soaps. I am not sure who else has used it. The bathtub I won't use for bath as it doesn't look cleaned. I have been in many 5 star hotels and this is not a standard. I am not sure if this country knows what the standard is.
