Booked suite for two people at the end of december (through agoda). Prior to the stay, I visited to hotel in advance to scout the premises, as different websites mentioning smoking/non-smoking rooms confused me.

The receptionist Katarina (or Kathrina?) greeted me in great english and arranged for me to see the rooms. To my surprise, all the rooms were smoking-rooms, but I arranged with Katarina to make sure that there were no traces of cigarettesmoke in the suite when I arrived, which was very satisfactory upon arrival.

A kindhearted staffmember of the restaurant/roomservice was kind even to bring us our food and drinks to our room with a smile and a helping hand in opening a bottle of our own brought wine. I offered a tip, but she kindly refused to accept, which, to me, felt very professional. The built in bathtub/jacuzzi in the suite worked perfectly, and was easy to use. The bed was very comfortable , and the room was well stocked in advance with slippers, bathproducts, robes and towels enough for the both of us.

The Breakfast (from 8-11) differed in quality when comparing the two mornings we spend in the restaurant. It is good for solid nutrition and a cozy morning for the nonextravagant laymen like me out there, but the strange sausages, overly boiled eggs and white bread along with the lukewarm eggs (admittedly, I was never there earlier than 10:30), may surprise the average posh european. In short, I the quality of the included breakfast was very fair compared to the price of the suite, and I am sure the food and abundance of it varies from the managing staff members on that particular day.

At night, we turned off the heater in the room, as it made too much noise for our ears to fall asleep to, and the ventilation from the bathroom can give quite the vibrations through the floor up to where the bed is placed.

The saunaarea was in great condition, and easy to use. We just asked the reception in advance, and we were told that it would be ready within an hour, and it turned out to be quite the adventure, and would very much reccomend the facilites along with the poolarea.

We tried to arrange a massage session which was supposed to be operating, but we were told from the reception that they were unable to get in contact with whoever was in charge of this service. We were asked to be notified of this, but never were, and i fear that a certain receptionist may be to shy to engage in conversation with the guests to deliver these news - I will not mention the receptionist by name, as I think it is an internal matter.

The basement lounge is big and cozy, enthough the decorations on the walls could use a local, armenian touch, besides from the basic "man-cave-run-from-your-wife-football-table-artwork". The airhockey table did not have any pucks, the football table is reversed (or left handed??), and the pooltable of incredible size only features 9-ball (who even plays this?).

At our time of stay, the hotel was mostly empty, and we only saw other guests in the restaurant in the morning - The staff seemed keen to deliver a good service, besides from a young lady (not Katarina <3) in the reception who seemed shy and could use more practice in speaking english. The prices in the restaurant are reasonable, and if you want to relax, there is plenty of space in which to do this.

When the weather is clear, the views around the hotel are amazing, especially when the snow covers the land around it - The mountainous views are, as always in armenia, breathtaking.

Over all, I was very suprised by the services of the hotel. I would happily reccomend it to people I meet as it is a great stay on the outskirts of yerevan.

Caucasus Hotel is far from the city proper with a taxi rate amounting to 1500 dram to 2000 dram (just be sure the taxi has a meter for if none, the driver will ask for a huge amount).
Back to the hotel, I was given room 101 but I cannot open it, the receptionist then transfer me to room 102. The room was big for me since I am on solo. It has a loft (bedroom on the second floor). There was no cabinet to hang your clothes, when I asked the receptionist that there was no cabinet, she said that there is and even sent somebody to show me and I'm correct! There was none!!! The receptionist told me to tell the manager the next day but I did not bother to ask since I will be away always and just sleep after each tour. The restaurant was on the next big (not within the hotel building), breakfast is good (I am not choosy, anything will do as long as there is something to eat to give you your daily nutritional need and energy to last you the whole day while visiting the country. The only problem is when it rain, and you don't have umbrella (I got wet a lot of times because it was rainy on those days that I stayed in Yerevan). They serve also dinner and its cheap.
As I've said earlier, the hotel is very far from the city - that is the only downside of my stay there. Overall, it's all ok (I'm not choosy as what I've said, as long as there is a roof to sleep on, I'm okay.) What matters to me is what the country will offer my eyes and heart coz I love to travel, to see the world.

I visited Armenia in June , stayes here 4 days. First this place is not so popular and second is its way outside city.

Difficult to commute every time you would want to visit the town. You will spend around 1500 dr each trip by taxi.

Service of the hotel was average. Except reception you will not find any who can speak in English.

Not so great place for family.

We have stayed at this Hotel several times in the past years. It was a great experience . but previous month, me and my wife stayed there for 10 days with different experience.
this hotel has been under renovation for 2 years and is still ongoing why???
Years a go there was a 24 hours unique restaurant but now it s often closed and does not even have a English menu!!! just Armenian menu is available .very very poor breakfast, and the only hotel in the world that does not have black tea (only coffee and green tee ) . hot water is not available from 9pm until 9 am ....
The only good thing in this hotel was the pool and around the pool. and kind receptions.
I would never staying there again

This is the worst hotel in the world.
I ordered lunch at 2 o'clock, half of my order was brought after two hours and the other half after 4 hours. No one there knew English and almost all were uneducated.
I think it is one of the worst choices for accommodation
I reserved half board but they want to get money for lunch!!!!

It has beautiful design. Unfortunately, service was awful. The lamp , next to the bed was not turn on, I asked them many times to repair it, but they didn't care.
They didn't charge breakfast's items on time , there was no toaster , and also they didn't charge shampoo and shower gel. They didn't prepare hair conditioner, body lousion , blade ,iron.
As you can see in attach photo, the towels and coverlet were rag.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable and stylish. Helpful staff; they usually don't know English, but the receptionists know English very well and are helpful. It has a small open swimming pool that was fun. It has restaurants. It serves delicious Armenian breakfast meals. The price is reasonable for such a hotel (about 70 USD per night). It was recently constructed, and is super clean. It's a little far from downtown, but you can always ask the receptionist to call for a taxi for you (they take you downtown for about 1500 Drams, that is about 3 USD). I will definitely go there again.

This hotel is worth staying. Most facilities are provided to make your stay enjoyable. The most important thing is that staff can speak english which is not common in Yerevan. Other bonuses are the pool, Restaurant, beautiful site to spend ur time. The rooms are clean. The only problem is the 15 minutes driving distance to the downtown which is somehow solved with the free services offered by the hotel. The staff are really good and kind.
