We stayed a few nights here, and it was wonderful. The people were very nice and polite, the breakfast was amazing! The one waiter that was there every breakfast (sorry we forgot your name, tall/skinny guy who spoke great english) was wonderful! The rooms were a bit small, but very clean with good amenities. Would stay again!
Pros: Location is great. Grocery stores, pharmacy, good restaurants, and some tourist attractions all within walking distance. Staff: Some staff members were significantly helpful! I appreciate them so much, as they helped me with a big issue on arrival. Room: space was ok. Shower was ok. Negatives: Telephone in the room didn’t work at all. Brought it to front desk, they found the phone was ok, but the line was not working. Then the line worked, but I could hear other rooms conversations because my phone would ring but it was not for me. This problem was never fixed. No solution was suggested. Noise. Very noisy. I had asked for a higher floor in my booking, staff didn’t even check the booking and gave me a room on second floor. My neighbor had 2-3 children who would scream and run around all the time. I remember one morning one kid screamed at 5am outside the room, what the heck? Really? Terrible! Staff: Some staff were good, but others were not. I remember I had asked the staff about the Armenia Cognac factory. And that I was going there later in the day and wanted to take a tour. They failed to tell me that I should have booked a tour in advance and that not everyday there are tours, nor are there tours every hour. The day I went there were tours in two different languages that I did not speak and no availability anyway. This was sad, very sad. I know I should have checked in advance, but the hotel staff should have reminded me about this and then I wouldn’t have wasted a taxi ride or the time to go there, I would have gone somewhere else. Food at the hotel was mediocre, not much to expect there. Because of the noise, the telephone not working, them not reviewing my booking notes, and the staff not doing their due diligence to tell tourists about the time of things, I cannot give this hotel more than a three star rating. Very disappointed.…
The hotel is very well located in the center. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful: The breakfasts and the reastaurant are excellent. The rooms are comfortable, practical and clean with good beds. The wi-fi is fast and very easy to access on multiple devices. It was my 12th stay there. Once my wife also came for several days and was very satisfied. They were very well organized to help with the guests safety in the difficult days where confinement due to Covid 19 began during my last stay. Looking forward to coming back when this crisis ends.
Republica Hotel is located just few minutes' walk from Republic Square, and some great restaurants (Sherep and Tarvern Yerevan) and shops. The front desk and catering staff were very friendly and professional and did what they could to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The hotel is small, but this gives it a homely feel. There are no spa or gym facilities inside the hotel but they have partnered up with a nearby gym and spa to offer discounts to hotel guests, though I didn't try this out. My room was small but cosy and most importantly, it was clean. I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers as a base from which to explore Yerevan. Thank you to all staff for making Yerevan feel that much more homely!
dont bother staying in the larger hotels around this area, this little gem was so cosy and clean and a great price. Breakfast was perfect, so were the staff. Can't think of any bad points really. I would definitely stay here again.
