Guys, The most important item for tourists is a proper location and as low as possible daily charges of resting place. In my opinion, this hotel has both strong points. Breakfast served by a professional lady, she deliver everybody breakfast by herself, furthermore you would have other choices already on the table.

I would like to thank the whole staff of SD hotel for being so kind. Hasmik and other reception staff assisted throughout my stay to book tour, regular taxis and other things. The breakfast was served by Svetlana with a beautiful smile. She is very welcoming and kind. The rooms were clean with all the basic amenities. The wifi was however weak during night times. Overall excellent job done by the staff.

I traveled alone and arrived in Yerevan by minibus from Tbilisi. 4 PM and no advance reservations, Travel advisor led me to the SD hotel near the station. I entered a plush and impressive lobby and was greeted by a cheerful receptionist. She informed me that the the only room left was the De Lux room and was only available the one night. She quoted a rate of 20,000 Dram and I asked her to please let me know if there might be any cancelations for the following nights. Sadly there were none as I was shown an extremely spacious and clean Room with a double bed and an additional single in the sitting room of the suite. Two televisions, two bathrooms and two Air conditioner units made me regret I traveled alone as this room was made for a family. My basic requirements were all there, HOT shower, wifi and breakfast. A minor inconvenience for me was there is no minibar. A nearby rotisserie chicken joint with soft drinks and water for sale. made up for this The hotel has no lift and the top is four flights up. The metro station to city center is a short walk. I recommend advance booking as the next few nights were spent in the city center, equally pleasant but nearly twice the price.

We were staying there for 5 nights? Everything was very pleasant but I have to remind you guys this hotel do not have a lift, so don't carry big luggage. If you are having a bug luggage, please pack some clothes into a backpack and bring up to the room, the rest of your big luggage and stuff can leave it with the first floor reception. Breakfast is pretty fine. Love their mashed potatoes and sunny side up. This place is not near any shopping mall or restaurant. Going to the Republic Square of Yerevan is about 45mins walk. But..... You can take their subway which we actually choose to walk (can exercise) lol... I can recommend "Coffee Story" cafe 40mins walk from SD hotel or "Black Angus Burger" restaurant which is also about 40-45mins walk away from the hotel. P.S. every smoker smoke in the café or restaurant.

Conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Sasuntsi Davit station, which has a metro stop to the city center. You can also walk to the city center, though it's not a quick stroll, albeit interesting. They strongly persuade you to pay for your room in cash, I presume to avoid credit card fees. They accepted US dollars, which saved me the hassle of changing it or withdrawing from an ATM. The building and rooms feel very Eastern European, and there is a lot of echo due to the tile floors and high ceilings. Breakfast was nice, especially the service. There is cheese, yogurt, toast and rose hip juice available on the table, but the cook will also make you a hot dish ... sometimes fried eggs, sometimes sausage, sometimes porridge, depends on the day. And they'll serve you hot coffee or tea as well. Front desk staff was superb, especially Artyom. Thanks for making my stay in Yerevan so enjoyable!
