Mia Resort is quite possibly the most charming resort I've visited in Vietnam. Here, it is all about the small touches (and the magnificent views). Pros: -From the very first moment of checking in, Cindy the Resort Manager and all of her staff were wonderful throughout my stay. -The buggy service throughout the resort was always prompt. Normally, buggy service is not something that I would use (when checking in, the staff let me know to call a buggy before going to restaurant... in my mind, I thought 'not necessary') but the distance from one end of the resort to the other is tremendous. First time I've ever gone around a buggy 'switch back'! -The grounds are immaculate. There MUST have been more gardeners on staff than there were rooms/villas. When you see staff sweeping the grass on a daily basis, you know how much pride they take in the appearance. -The views! First of all, if the view from the lobby DOESN'T take your breath away, I suggest you check your pulse! That in addition to the incredible views from my Oceanfront Villa and it's garden area. -In room Coffee Phin. Normally at a hotel at this price point, I'd expect a Nespresso machine or similar- but the only time I'm happy to go without is when there is a true Phin in the room (AND the coffee is ground correctly for it!). -The outdoor shower was spectacular and lush- surrounded by natural stone and bamboo. -The villa itself was wonderful. I took full advantage of the large desk behind the bed and (while I never really used it) appreciated the hammock and full on outdoor living room. All of the finishes were quality and the color palate was calming. -Their food program! Have stayed at multiple hotels/resorts during COVID in Vietnam, I completely understand that F&B programs need to be scaled down to match occupancy- but Mia did it in the best way I've seen to date. Room Service was fast (arrived in 22 minutes, with a promise of 30) and the menu was sizable The Dolcezza Pizza was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was hands down where they win though. They bring out (multiple) plates of essentially a LARGE Continental breakfast, plus you can order a main hot dish from the a la carte menu- let me just say these were NOT just average items- the almond croissants, homemade mulberry jam and yogurt parfaits in particular were all absolute knockouts. Presentation, concept and taste were all 5 star. Dinner in the main restaurant had a menu to satisfy everyone and the food was well prepared and delicious as well. Note, they have a great happy hour that surprisingly included all of their delicious cocktails making them a great deal. Finally, I need to point out that every salt and pepper shaker I encountered was both full and worked well (tropical climates and salt don't mix well). -The beach. Now, the weather was rubbish for most of the time I was there, but had it been sunny and warm I think the cove in front of the restaurant would have made a beautiful beach! Cons: -This is a very common thing in Vietnam, but the steps into the private pool were a bit daunting. My first time "landing" on the top stair inside the pool revealed that the water level came up to my mid thigh (I'm 1,82m). A railing (or just another step :) ) would be appreciated. -I love taking baths, and there was indeed a bathtub in the villa, but between the odd shape, the long fill time and the fact that there wasn't enough hot water to actually fill it, it's a bit of a fail. -Like I said above, I loved the desk area behind the bed, but it could use a lot more lighting in the area. Overall, it was a spectacular 2 nights at the Mia and I cannot wait to return with my family in the future.…
Had a great stay at Mia! The staff gave us excellent service and paid attention to details, remembered our preferences with food etc. The facilities was clean and we were meet with smiles and a friendly atmosphere.
We spent a long weekend at Mia and both agreed that the customer service was uncommonly good, at reception and especially at Sandals restaurant. But the highlight was the one-bed beach view villa, which was beautifully designed and very comfortable indeed. I think Mia is now my go-to resort in Vietnam.
For each year, my own family just have one shot to spend time relax together after hard working. So, I has chose very carefully, and Mia resort Nha Trang is the right place for us.
