My wife and I had booked at 17-day trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, with the excellent G Adventures, and the town of Hue was our third stop after leaving Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. The Asia was perhaps the largest and most modern hotel we stayed in during the trip and comes highly recommended. There is a swimming pool on Level 7 and breakfast is also served on this level. In addition, there is a rooftop terrace. The rooms have excellent beds and safety deposit boxes. Add to that, the hotel is within easy walking distance of good bars and restaurants, and you can see why it is an excellent choice when planning a stay in Hue. Our favourite bar was The Army Bar, which is only a one minute walk from the hotel and which I'll review separately. I'll also upload photos of the hotel room and pool area.

This hotel was booked by the tour group I was on and my room assigned was 807. The room was clean, of average size, and had a great view of the city. The location of Asia Hotel was ideal, as it was close to everything that we needed. The lobby was spacious and the overall service was good here. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items and was delicious, best breakfast while in Vietnam!
The only negative thing was noise at 6AM. The location of the room next to the staff stairwell where the restaurant which was located on the 7th floor made it less than ideal. I found the elevators slow, the stairwell made sense to take when going between one or two floors.

Stayed here one night as part of a tour. Room was very comfortable, and staff helpful. The swimming pool/bar area was nice for a late night cocktail and swim. We arrived early off the train, and were offered breakfast but it was $6 which is pricey. That being said, the breakfast the next day was really good with loads of choice.

The hotel is in a great location to discover the night market streets of Hue. It is easy to walk around and discover from the hotel. The room was quiet and a nice size. Staff were friendly. While fully understanding that the tourism trade and economy has been affected by the Covid virus our stay at the hotel was disappointing. Swimming pool and terrace bar were closed. Glad we did not choose the breakfast option. The hotel was is half shutdown mode.

Very average hotel. Our room opened on to a terrace which would have been nice if there wasn't a team of builders 1 metre from our window doing renovations. We asked reception if they could move us but as it was 5pm they told the builders to stop. At 10.30pm the builders were hard at work in the room next door this time. Again I had to ask for them to stop. At 6am we were woken by the builders back out on the terrace. Not acceptable.

This was booked as part of a tour and so I did not personally choose the hotel. It may be I just got unlucky with my room as the door would not lock (they did fix it quickly), there was an actual hole in the wall that went through to outside and paint peeling. Others in the group had slightly better rooms. The bathrooms are traditional with the strange window through into your bedroom. Breakfast was good and varied and the pool was nice and refreshing. WiFi was good and it is in an excellent location.

A great location for those interested in staying in the active area of Hue. Ideal for walking to local restaurants and bars. This hotel is very nice, it's clean, comfortable and quiet. Location in the heart of Hue. Staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great selection of Asian and European dishes and some lovely pastries. Rooms spacious, well equipped and clean. Found the glass window separating the bedroom & bathroom amusing but it does have a screen you can pull down for privacy. Would recommend.

Sadly we only had 1 night in Hue which is a lively and laid back city , especially after Hanoi ! Our room in the Asia hotel was nice and public areas of the hotel comfortable,clean and pleasant. The breakfast was varied and high quality, the best we had during our 16 day tour. The pool area etc is very inviting. All in all a great hotel. What ruined the stay for us was the following. Our tour group was on the bus about to leave when I was summoned back our room due to a missing face cloth, which we never had !! I was accompanied by 4 members of staff including, I think,security. I was then taken to reception where they wanted me to take my cases off of the coach to search for the missing item. Not wanting to hold up the bus I insisted on paying for the facecloth despite it never being in our room. Price 1usd ! What a waste of time !!
