This was one of the most pleasant resorts I've ever stayed at. Pictures don't do it justice. The wellness package was a good deal considering that it included pretty good daily massages and free lunch or dinner each day. The location is not far from Tu Hieu Pagoda and in a lovely, quiet forested area.

The wellness package included jacuzzi, steam room and sauna access and they were indeed always available, pleasant, functional and clean. The various pools around the large property are the same.

Food and drinks are pretty good, not quite five-star but no cause for complaint, all meals were enjoyable.

What was most exceptional was how considerate and attentive the guest relations staff Rudy was. He was friendly, lots of fun, super helpful and always available, even before we ever arrived. We would have been happy for him to join us for the rest of our trip! Every resort should have someone like him around to make sure all the guests' plans go smoothly. The rest of the staff were very responsive and helpful as well.

In summary, we had a wonderful time and would happily have spent an extra week there.

we booked two nights here but ended up staying for 6.The complex is about 10 minutes from Hue in its own peaceful oasis. The hotel provides a free mini bus service if you want to go to the town. The spa facilities are excellent and the large swimming pool is ideal with a bar at the end.The breakfast room is beautiful overlooking a large pond stocked with koi carp. The breakfast has many options to suit all tastes. In the evening there is a BBQ buffet as well as al a carte. The lady in charge of the BBQ does your food in front of you as you wish it cooked. At 0730 there are free yoga classes.Everything is neat and clean and the wonderful staff could not be faulted for their helpfulness and politeness.

We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave. We had the pool view room , which was large and shared use of a heated pool for a few rooms. There was a free message each which was excellent and the Spa was very nice. We had use of the candle room that served complimentary soft drinks, coffee and afternoon tea. The gardens and landscape was very well done. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant served good food and also there is a local restaurant over the road which was also very good and cheap as an alternative. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I think this hotel (which is a little out of town) was developed just as post war tourism in Vietnam was taking off. Parts of it look a little dated, and without spending a fortune, there's not much they can do about that. The bar, for example is a concrete box with pillars. But they could redecorate; they could get rid of the glitter balls; and they could serve reasonable size measures - theirs are the stingiest I saw in Vietnam. They could do something about the pool - the surrounds look like old railway sleepers. And they certainly could do something about the penny pinching attitude which they have drummed into the staff.

On arrival, almost the first words were, would you like to upgrade your room for a mere $30 a night? We declined. Our allocated room was perfectly pleasant, but among the first things we saw was a price list. Of food or drink? Of excursions? No, a list of how much you would be charged if you broke anything. This was extensive, ranging from glassware to "toilet paper cover" and "sliding door's lock". A cheap plastic travel alarm would have set you back 60 quid had you stood on it.

Breakfasts on the other hand were pretty good, served in a pleasant waterside room. Uniquely they provided the wherewithal to recreate the famous banh mi sandwich - but then spoil it all by providing tiny baguettes about 15 cm long.

When I went to pay the bill I had been charged for stamps which I hadn't ordered. Now mistakes can happen, but it took a long time to sort this out. In fairness they did give us a little present as we left by way of apology.

This is Vietnam. It almost goes without saying that the staff are inherently lovely. Unfortunately they have to operate in a culture of corporate meanness. It's a pity, because this hotel has a lot of good things to offer.

Pilgrimage Village was different than any hotel at which we stayed during our tour of SE Asia. It is a very large resort, with multiple groupings of rooms, set outside of Hue. We could not walk to town, although there is transportation available.
We were offered an upgrade to a group of rooms with a private, heated pool and its own bar, which was very nice. The room itself was large and rustic, with an attractive, well appointed bathroom. They had a Happy Hour each afternoon; we felt as if they only wanted us to have one drink a piece at the reduced price.
The downside of this upgraded room was that it was very far from the dining room and office. Signage could have been better. We became lost a few times at night.
The breakfast buffet is very good. They had Western and Vietnamese food. The pho was excellent, as was the Vietnamese coffee. The dinner options were good, and we had dinner there twice. Please note that you will be charged for water in the dinner restaurant. The second night was not a great experience, as a very large group of people poured into the restaurant and it did not appear that they were expected, as there was clearly not enough help. At one point, we saw a cook delivering food to tables. We had to wait at least 1/2 hour for our check, after requesting it multiple times. The staff at Pilgrimage Village is outstanding - kind, helpful, and very hospitable.

Hotel to chill in, surrounded by a lush garden and nature. There were a few other upscale options within Hue central city but we ultimately opted for this hotel and very glad we did. While about 15 min taxi ride away from the city center, this hotel is well worth the visit as it keeps you away from the loudness, crowded and hectic life within the city. They’ve made sure to keep the grounds full of beautiful vegetation and at night an abundance of frogs, geckos and snails come out to enjoy the water ponds, singing along as the night sets in and temperature becomes a bit cooler. The complex is big enough to have a nice stroll around to enjoy the garden. We recommend to pay the extra wee bit more to stay in the poolside villas, as the pool is only for the villa guests (there’s another bigger pool for other guests) so you can enjoy the pool with a limited amount of guests. While a smaller detail, we were very happy to find a Japanese style toilet installed in our villa, which makes a world of a difference for us when traveling outside of Japan (once you go Toto, you can never go back) (IYKYK). Breakfast buffet was good quality and their Junrei restaurant served up some good quality Vietnamese dishes we enjoyed upon our arrival. Staff are super nice and the complimentary 30min massage/night was a great way to unwind after a full day of discovering Hue city. Right across the street from the hotel is a family run shop where you can purchase drinks and snacks and they provide a very cheap next day laundry service (1kg=2 USD) and the hotel staff were kind enough to let us know, even though they have a (more expensive) laundry service of their own. This hotel is definitely for ppl who want to visit Hue but don’t necessarily want to be staying in the busy-ness of a city the entire time. Theres a meditation room and an overall chillness to the entire hotel.

We had organised with Pilgrimage Village to collect us in Đà Nẵng and drive the 3 hours in a private car to the resort. Our driver was so lovely, driving with ease and cruising through the Hai Van Pass, stopping along the way to take some photos. At the resort we were welcomed and the details were gone through extremely thoroughly - I had organised some surprises for my partner which the staff were taking care of.

Ms Christi added me on WhatsApp almost as our personally assigned staff member to take care of all our needs. She organised a beautiful tiramisu cake for my partner as well as a small gift, booked us for some spa treatments as well as yoga and tai chi classes (complimentary). The resort is beautifully laid out with 3 pools, 2 restaurants and a bar. There is also a fancy souvenir store (that would have Chanel running) and a candle bar for some late afternoon tea. On the far left-hand side of the resort is a closed off section for private use of the villa guests only. I've added some images below of what it looks like.

The only downside is of course the price. Everything is perfectly calculated with tourists in mind. Even your typical bỏ phố costs around 250,000đ (you can get the same in a phố restaurant for 50,000đ). However, for the quality of lux we received, we definitely didn't mind paying.
The various dishes at the breakfast buffet are just divine, being served right next to a lotus lake with koi that you can watch all morning.

Alternatively, there is a free shuttle into town where you can join tourists and locals alike at an abundance of restaurant options.

Highly recommended and will definitely go again!

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel for 3 nights as part of our Cambodia/ Vietnam trip. We stayed in one of the pool access bungalow rooms, gorgeous room with little touches such as the evening turn down service complete with candle burner and a bedtime story! We also very much enjoyed use of the Candle Lounge with free soft drinks and tea/coffee all day and a great afternoon tea.

We ate in the main restaurant on our first night, had the buffet option with free flowing wine for an hour- very much enjoyed this too! Also used the Spa for very relaxing massages.

All in all, a beautiful hotel, lovely peaceful atmosphere, great staff and a fabulous experience.

Lovely, lovely hotel. Appears to be relatively large but does a great job of having a boutique feel as service is very personalized and rooms are very spread out.

Set a bit out of town, but no problem going back and forth given their own shuttle or regular taxis. Rooms a tad on the dark side, but fits well with the overall theme and quality of mai tenance and cleanliness is top notch.

Special mention to the staff for absolutely outstanding service - nothing was too much trouble for them.

The restaurant, too, was excellent. While we rarely eat in hotel restaurants, this one was an excellent place to try local food. There is also an inexpensive place just outside the main gate.

Strongly recommended!

We stayed in a twin bungalow which looked onto a small pool with three other bungalows, with a much larger pool a few metres away. The room was huge with a high ceiling - really very spacious. There was a fridge and a safe.

Our package included free soft drinks and afternoon tea in the candle lounge, and the tea included a good range of sweet and savoury items to choose from and was quite substantial.

The small gym was a great place to run. The sauna and steam rooms are quite small, but this is more than made up for by the large hot and cold outdoor jacuzzis.

The buffet breakfast included a good range of items, and the breakfast room had some seats with good views of the adjacent pond.

There is a small shop directly outside the resort on the opposite side of the road that sells drinks and snacks.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive.

We were upgraded to a honeymoon suite and it did have a small pool which was definitely not big enough to swim in! It was more of a plunge pool. The pilgrimage resort is in beautiful natural surroundings and the main pool is very large and refreshing. We loved our stay their at would have stayed longer if possible - superb value for money
