I picked this place mostly because of the high walking score & trip advisor reviews. I was disappointed. We ended up arriving a day early & stayed at a much cheaper place nearby the night before checking in here. We booked the executive suite at Saigon Morin & we were looking forward to a much nicer stay here. We were disappointed. It was the same quality as the one we checked out of that was cheap! Aside from the room being HUGE & the A/C working really well, everything else about the Saigon Morin was lacking. Big jetted tub in the photos. I was looking forward to a relaxing soak. Nope. Took forever for the tub to fill, water pressure is low. Water was yellow. Water only barely got warm enough & never hot. Jets were broken & when we called it in, the staff pretends not to understand. (Room 111) Charlie Chapman suite. The bathroom was giant! Plenty of room for a large walk-in shower...but it had the smallest hotel shower I have ever seen! Like you would find in a camper van. You can barely turn around in it. The old floor pan was cracked & the caulking wasn’t pretty either, to top it off, the cheap shower head only had 2/3 of the sprayers working. The rest were clogged from mineral deposits! Again low water pressure & only barely warm enough water. (Since it was hot weather on our visit this was ok). Food & drink here sucked. We ended up skipping the included breakfast the following morning and going to the Grand Coffee shop next door for breakfast. That place is good! The garden area at Hotel Saigon Morin was lovely. The swimming pool was cloudy & gross looking water, so I sun bathed, but only cooled off in the baby pool next to it which looked cleaner. The gym was a JOKE! Old as crap stuff, tiny room & no A/C on a hot day. This place has potential to be an excellent hotel. But they need someone else to manage the budget. Everything was either high end or low end & mixed up together this way. So it was a midrange hotel. If you can call it that?? Really it was like a high end hotel with a bunch of stuff cheap & broken like a low end. It was a confused hotel at best. Staff were alright but not great. Except bell man. They smiled & behaved perfectly. The rest of the staff did not appear happy or eager to help. To top it off, this was not closest to the walking street, food, bars, massages etc. Don’t know how it got a great walking score on TripAdvisor? If I returned, I would for sure stay somewhere else.

The hotel's location was excellent, opposite with Truong Tien Bridge, next to the Perfume River, really fresh and nice. The room was beautiful with wooden floor and nice facilities. The decoration was excellent, lovely!

This hotel has some older fixtures and amenities. But the colonial style and grace of the hotel is great. The size of rooms, beauty of the garden, and relief from the outdoor pool. Small exercise room could use some updates. The rooms were comfortable. the breakfast was very good with many options. Also quite a great location along the Perfume River. Customer service by the staff was helpful, and friendly.

We stayed here for 3 nights in March, beautiful location easy walking distance to restaurants bars and attractions. Unfortunately when we arrived the shower was a dribble the fridge didn’t work which had to be replaced then we found the safe was not working so we were unimpressed that there was no apology. When we went for breakfast the next morning we were surprised everything was outside hot food was cold and to top it all the birds were helping themselves to the bread and pastries which none of which was covered. Not a peaceful breakfast either with the building work going on behind. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and especially one member of breakfast staff who managed to get me some natural yogurt
