Vitamin Smiles Hostel is a stunning Indochine style architecture hostel which located in the heart of the entertainment center in Ho Chi Minh City (its old name is Sai Gon). Right on the main street, the property is within a few steps of all the action, but peaceful enough to ensure you get plenty of rest and recuperation. Vitamin Smiles hostel is a new hostel and near the central of the backpacker's area, within walking distance to all the famous tourist attractions including: Ben Thanh Market, War Remnants Museum, The Opera House, Cathedral Church, Reunification Palace, and Chinatown. Shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs surround the hostel. The 2 commons areas in the main lobby and rooftop where you can enjoy the great city view while mingles 'a great place to hang out a bit and have a beer while meeting nice people from around the globe. We proud about our lovely & friendly staff, who we've been told are 'very helpful, personable and informative.

Old pictures shown of the hostel two years ago. The holes in my bed linen seem to mirror the holes in this establishments’ integrity. Recent changes made to the hostel seem to reflect a desire to enter bankruptcy- terrible rooms, terrible space, terrible bathrooms. Nice Japanese coffee shop out front though.

Completely different hostel from the one featured in the pictures, staff explained that the photos were taken years ago before renovation (more like downgrading). Visited Alcatraz a few years back and it felt more homely than this utter hole. Avoid at all costs.

Legit the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. The photos look nothing like what they present it as. As well it was very dirty and the security was horrible. My boyfriend found a cockroach on his bed and I found several in the bathroom crawling around. The bathroom had a door that led to the outside that was locked with a tiny lock that could be easily broken. The “security lockers” they say they have fit my small purse in it that’s it. We were supposed to be there for 4 nights but left after 8 hours. Never going back. I do not believe this was the front desks fault. He was overall a nice guy.

The place was clean and beds were soft. The location was very close to Central Park Great for solo traveler. Fair price for your money. Helpful staff, fine location, check-in 24/7. Available complimentry coffee and tee in the morning. Were kind and watched over my luggage for no extra charge.

First of all had a nightmare as the airport pick up that I had booked via the hostel didn’t turn up. A couple of hours and a paid taxi later I made it to the hostel at 4am. Hostel was relatively clean, sheets were ripped and the towel was so tiny it didn’t cover my body. Bathroom was okay (bring flip flops) and we ran out of toilet roll for a couple of days and I had to ask reception to refill it. Arranged two tours (Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta) through the hostel which were excellent! Breakfast here is incredible!!! Choose the Vietnamese and you won’t be disappointed! Location is good, only a 5 min walk to backpacker area/main walking street. On check out it took an awful long time for them to calculate my bill. Okay hostel run by lovely people but could be room for improvements with the cleanliness and the staff!
