Location: I’ve travelled to Vietnam perhaps 15 time over the last few years. I can safely say that if you seek a quieter existence in a smaller hotel in HCM city then L’Odeon is a must try.

Facilities: a small hotel with 32 room over 6 floors (get a room with a patio if you can

This is a great little hotel in an excellent area of Ho Chi Minh City. Quaint building feels like Paris. Pasteur Street Craft Beer company has just opened a branch right next door which is superb
for late night beer. The Hotel L’Odeon provides nice breakfast but the buffet items

This hotel located in District 7 is about 20-30 minutes away from District 1 which is the touristy area of HCMC. You can get to the Ben Thanh market from a nearby bus stop @ 5000 VND (.25 ). Getting back could be a little more trickier - a Grab taxi ride could set you back from

We paid around USD 35/night for a room -- hard to believe, breakfast included. Quiet, safe location, with tons of restaurants within short walking distance. Best of all is the hospitality -- the host (husband of owner) must have spent 20-30 minutes with us after breakfast giving

How far from airport.?
It really depends on the weight of traffic at the time, a taxi from the airport will usually pass through district 1 in the way to district 7 so I guess around 1 and a half hours. There is no mass transit system so it’s a taxi or a bus.

This hotel seems perfect for us and very beautiful but I'm a little nervous about how far it is from the airport. We will only be staying one night. Landing at the airport around 4:15pm (16:15) on August 20th and then leaving the next morning of the 21st very early in the morning. Would you still recommend for such a short stay? And does the hotel have airport transportation?
You can arrange a ride through the hotel for airport pickup. That was super easy. Then on the way back they can help you get a taxi or Grab ride.
