While the location is perfect for the tourist, the facilities at the Royal Hotel are rather plain, and the service is slow. This is not a major criticism, just a statement of fact. The major problem I faced was with the thin walls and the noisy neighbours. It was not a good experience, overall.

Had 4 nights here. Just a basic hotel in a great location. Nothing fancy but so central you could walk most places. Average breakfast and amenaties but if your just looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep it does the job.

Location is walking minutes to Ben Thanh markets, Saigon square shopping, Opera House, Post office and Notre Dam. The new Saigon Centre is just behind the hotel. My Hotel room is rather dated with carved wooden armchairs, small tv, dressing table but no bedside tables - and the view was a wall. Breakfast was included in our room rates but...

From outside Hotels Restaurant looked expensive, after looking at menu outside It looked reasonable. We ventured for dinner , selection was fine and we wanted Vietnamese cuisine. Portions were large and delicious. Service was fast and efficient.

We were first on the list that was in front of them. Trying to book in a tour was confusing, it took 3 people to book... and the first person ended up booking it anyway,...

Hotel has a small pool and decking to sit in the sun and breakfast is included. Only thing I would say is we stayed for 2 nights in Feb and there...

5 minutes walk to Rex so if you want to save some money, stay here. Due to location it is expensive for musky, motel room. Room is old, not like hotel room, it is like a motel room. I would rate 2.5 star for the room. However breakfast is really good 4 stars.
