Every time when we revisit HCMC, we will surely comeby to this restaurant for our dinner and this recent trip was no different. (our last visit here was on 24 December 2022 for the Christmas Seafood Buffet Dinner) This time round, the restaurant has been renamed to Ocean Queen (previously was known as The Grill restaurant), although the setting and layout remain unchanged. It was cosy and nice, the buffet price had risen a little because of the Independence Day public holiday but they offered 15% discount. There's free flow of lobsters and softdrinks/juices/house wines and beers. The restaurant was almost full house and the spread was good, mostly seafood. Other than the lobsters which you need to order from the staff (and how you would like them to be cooked, grilled or steamed), the other dishes like crayfish, crabs, prawns, beef, oysters, musells etc were all self-service. There was also a live cooking station where you can order the noodles and soup. The food were nice and fresh overall, and we enjoyed ourselves as much as our previous visit. Staff were efficient in clearing used plates and serving drinks and food (i.e. lobsters) and were polite. Highly recommended and it's a good value for money considering the spread and quality and cost about USD38-40.

The location could do no wrong, as it is right smack in the middle of eateries and walking distance to all. Come weekend, the road in front of the hotel is closed and locals gather there to sing, and do all sort of activities. However, do note there are super loud music blasting non stop from the pubs and bars next door on weekends and it is so loud that you won't be able to sleep until it is very late at night. You can literally even hear the music playing when you come out from the lift to the corridors leading to your room. If this does not bother you, then this hotel is totally recommended.

Thank you a lot Linh manager of front office. You make our trip is more incredible, I felt welcome when I was staying. Room is a bit old and noisy at night but I love hotel hospitality, it make me change my mind about service in Vietnam. I will recommend my family to come to Vietnam for their experience

I will start at the beginning. I have stayed here in the past in a Club Room and it had the Club Lounge. This time the change was unbelievable across all areas of my visit for 4 nights. I arrived at the Hotel, the driver and I carried bags to foyer after stopping to open the doors. I walked to the counter where two people were standing behind it. One was typing on the computer and as the other who seemed to be in charge looked at I said ”Hi I would like to book in”. The boss lady said “WAIT”. I waited then when the other lady finished she began to check us in. I then asked about the Club facilities, the one who seemed to be in charge, jumped in quickly and told me that there are none as all closed. I asked why my booking is still listed as a club room about why is it written in the lifts. I gave up as the lady was very cutting and I was getting no where. I picked up my room cards and was told they would send the baggage up to the room. The card did not work, so back to desk to get another. Waited in room 10 minutes for the bags……….gave up went down to the Foyer where the bags were still where I left them so I dragged both cases up to the room. The room was basic with a chair that was very worn and stained. The net curtain was ripped. I know I should have asked for another room but could not be bothered arguing with the lady downstairs. Next morning down for breakfast, good selection nice room unfortunately all the “hot” food was lukewarm or colder. Thought that we went after seven we would go just after it opened but…… still cold. I tried to complain at the desk but they could not understand what I was complaining about and the following morning I went to the omelette station and it was hot but the rest. Cold. I was very disappointed that a Hotel that I specifically asked my travel agent to book against her wishes and suggestions turned out so terribly bad. Next morning go to breakfast. Hot food nope cold, tried again today the same.

I stayed at Saigon Prince Hotel during my visit to Ho Chi Minh City. While my experience was overall satisfactory, there were a few aspects that fell short of my expectations. Location: Saigon Prince Hotel boasts a convenient location in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. It is within walking distance of popular attractions, shopping districts, and a variety of dining options, making it an ideal choice for travelers who wish to explore the city's vibrant atmosphere. Room: The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and adequately furnished. The bed provided a decent night's sleep, and the amenities offered were satisfactory. However, I found the overall decor and furnishings to be slightly dated, lacking the modern touch that I had anticipated. Additionally, the room size was a bit smaller than what I had anticipated, which affected the overall comfort level during my stay. Service: The hotel staff were polite and professional throughout my visit. They promptly addressed any inquiries or requests I had and were attentive to my needs. Facilities: The hotel features a range of facilities, including a fitness center and a swimming pool. While I appreciated the availability of these amenities, I found them to be relatively basic and in need of some maintenance and upgrading. The executive lounge does not serve any evening hors d'oeuvre and only displays a few canned drinks, most of the time it is also not staffed. Dining: Saigon Prince Hotel offers a dining option within the premises, and I had a pleasant experience trying their breakfast buffet. The selection of dishes was decent, and the food was of good quality. However, I would have appreciated more diversity in the menu throughout my stay. Value for Money: Considering the location and the overall standard of the hotel, I found the pricing to be reasonable. While there were areas that could use improvement, Saigon Prince Hotel provided a satisfactory level of comfort and convenience for the price paid. Overall Experience: Saigon Prince Hotel is a decent option for those seeking a comfortable stay in a central location in Ho Chi Minh City while there were certain areas that left room for improvement.

the location is only advantage of this hotel . the rest everything is just ok , the staff is also not very curtious to Indians , also we were group of 15 people who were all vegetarians , still they never bothered to make any effort to cook vegetarian meal . which was not the case in other cities , so compared to other hotels in other city i would not reccomend this hotel to any vegetarian . also property is pretty run down , once we reached for breakfast at 9 45 and they flatly refuse to serve when the time is till 10 , loved Vietnam but never going here agin .

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and like it because of location and standard. The rooms may be a little dated (shower over the bath tub) but very comfortable On previous stays I have been roomed at the back of the hotel, however on the 2 recent stays have had rooms with view of the surrounds (thanks to Duty Manager Nguyen), and enjoyed both rooms. Staff at the front desk are very warm (even though a little slow), and porters are extremely helpful. The lobby lounge is comfortable for the after touring drink, or before venturing out at night. The only negative I found was that in the mall outside , entertainment went too late in the evening and did cause a little noise too late at night. I would certainly stay here again.

Leads you in to a false sense of security as the main reception area is nice but then you get to your room and I’ve stayed in better hostels! The room was so outdated it was like being in the 70s, the aircon vent was mouldy and filthy, the shower was dirty with scum marks all over with an horrible shower curtain, the bed sheets had holes in them, it smelt like cigarette smoke, the carpet was dirty and there’s more pressure in a kids toy water gun than there is from the shower. My pictures show our ‘4 star deluxe room’. The location is great I suppose yes BUT it is so noisy! I would rather stay a little further out just a few streets even and get a good nights sleep. We arrived and there was a massive concert outside for 2 nights and then once that had gone you have normal people singing karaoke in the street til early hours. The noise was that bad I even subjected to taking sleeping tablets which I’ve never done before for a hotel stay and only use them for the plane journey if needed as it’s so long. The windows need sound proofing! The doormen and luggage men are lovely but most of the reception staff I’ve never seen smile. After seeing our room we asked if we could move to one better but they wanted extra money. The lady showed us the room and it was the same layout as ours but more modern but still on the front where the noise was so we just decided to stay. We even stayed out as late as possible every night thinking the noise would have gone by the time we got in bed but it never did. Not 4 star at all

Place is super loud. There is a huge big screen right outside the building. It is really loud. The windows do a poor job of keeping out noise. I was unable to sleep after my 16 hour plane ride. The plugs are from the 70s. They do not accept plugs from America. Most places I have been to in Vietnam accept American electronic devices. The television is so old, like from the early 2000s. It has no ability to connect to the internet. There was a bug on the counter. The door knob doesn't open easily. This place advertises nicer rooms than they actually provide. I do not recommend this hotel.
