The Majestic has a great rooftop bar and a great breakfast room. Really nice. WiFi is very good. There are some oddities to point out, though There is one outlet that (a) works, and (b) isn't already in use. There is one wastebasket - which is in the bathroom, way on the far side of the toilet. I put it...

Great location to start your Vietnam holiday, we could easily walk to all the sights in district 1, the rooms are excellent, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Be sure to check out the M rooftop bar, with a great view of the river, and the traffic below.

Stayed two nights at the end of our Vietnam trip in a Colonial Deluxe room. We left some luggage there in advance of our stay. This was useful to have this facility. Welcomed at the hotel by door staff and reception staff. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant staff were helpful. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. There was a...

Old classic hotel with alot of charm. Very well located and very nice and conscientous staff. Lovely outdoor terrace for breakfast and drinks - however the street below is very noisy. Rooms are dated. Fabulous bed. However, the rooms are not otherwise comfortable. The chairs are very uncomfortable and now suited for idle morning newspaper/ipad reading. Very upright and very...

Luxury French colonial hotel in the centre of the city. Centrally located in District 1. The rooms are well appointed and very quiet. Comfortable beds. The breakfast on the roof top is well serviced and good selection of foods. Staff very courteous and helpful.

We normally stay in 3-3.5star hotels during our Asian holidays but as it was our 25th wedding anniversary we splurged for a one night (last night of the trip) stay in the Hotel Majestic Saigon with our 7yo boy in tow. We had a river view balcony room looking out onto the Saigon River. The photos of the opulent foyer...

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. The air con worked well although on our first night there was a tobacco smoke smell in the room due to someone smoking outside the aircon unit. The wifi was a little slow but fine for email. The food was excellent with a massive buffet at breakfast. The hotel...

We stayed at this hotel and can only recommend it to anyone who comes to Vietnam and stays in Ho Chi Minh. The Hotel has a magic feel from it's authentic decor from the 1920's. The staff was incredibly welcoming.

This hotel is in a great position for exploring Ho Chi Min City. It overlooks the river and the incredibly busy road running alongside it - the traffic is hectic which adds to the experience. Our room was large with an amazingly huge bed and absolutely fabulous linen. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight - loved their dim sum...

Hotel Majestic Saigon has been ranked at 118 among Asia’s top 125 hotels at the 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards which is based on voting preference of travelers of which has been praised by Conde Nast, a Top Travel Publication on 20 October, 2011. It’s our honor to officially confirm that the new Majestic Building will be an Annex Wing on Nguyen Hue street and next to the existing building. The Colonial Building since 1925 is still forever maintained as its Colonial French architecture. Since 1925, Majestic Hotel has occupied one of the finest locations in Saigon where guests can enjoy the stunning views of Saigon River. The old world boutique charm of the hotel, the elegance of columned and arched classical French colonial design glorify the Golden Age of architecture. Luxury is achieved through attention to details and complete comfort ensured through courteous service. The Majestic has gone through several reincarnations over the years, changes that reflect the tumultuous history of Vietnam. During World War II, the Japanese Imperial Army used this French colonial structure as a military barracks. During the Vietnam War, it was frequented by foreign correspondents and espionage agents. It is a hotel of tradition - hospitality - elegance. ... more   less
