Exactly what I expected from a hostel! Everything was decent except for the dude with the man bun and his serious addiction to Busted and McFly- actuallly well above your average run of the mill rep, who went above and beyond his job role- super fun and with so many stories to tell and advice on how to navigate the city. Teresa made the best Vietnamese coffees and was super welcoming, even showing me Chilly sky bar before we recruited some more travelers to buy t shirts for the pub crawl which was packed with people and a very memorable night, especially as Alice is always there to introduce solo travelers to each other as well as the groups- never an awkward moment with her bubbly personality. Josh was super good in front of a crowd on the mic and clearly got on very well with the Vietnamese staff which is nice to see as I have been to other places where they seem to almost be separated and often disrespected. If there was ever a lull in excitement he and nai would be sure to introduce a game and get everyone involved. Doing the limbo with so many drunken travelers was hilarious 😂 The reception staff were great at organising activities... I was on a coach to the cu chi tunnels within a few hours of arriving in Saigon thanks to them and made the most of my 24 hours.... Loved it so much that I actually visited again for a second time in December!. If you don’t plan on actually sleeping In your bed because you’re too busy having a good time living it up in Saigon, Hideout is the perfect place (that was recommended to me by someone in Hoi An). #notforthefainthearted #whatigotoschoolfor

I stayed here a few weeks ago and a Scottish girl that worked there, I believe her name was Shannon? Yelled at myself and a friend of mine for no reason. We were barely drinking at the time too, had just arrived. One of the staff noticed, Alice and she was so kind and made us have the best few nights of lives. We couldn’t thank her enough for being the bubbly, good hearted girl she was! Thank you again!

Hideout hostel is an excellent value for your money. beds are comfortable enough. It is a very social environment where you'll be able to befriend a lot of other backpackers. The location is awesome great because it is close to the walking street without actually being on it. The highlight of Hideout for me has to be Alice(the english one). She was very welcoming and had very thorough knowledge of the surroundings even though she was so new. I'd definitely come back to hideout next time i'm in saigon for Alice and all the other amazing peeps.

It was my first solo trip to south-east asia. When i arrive, the receptionist welcome me and made me feel like home with their super friendly. I booked for 1 night but stayed for 3 nights. The bar was great with a huge pubcrawl. Event staff always looks after their guests and make sure we enjoy the party. They are party hostel but very quiet once you get inside the room. i had good sleep after partying every night. Cleanness is very good as well.

This was my 1st trip as a backpacker and 1st ever stay in hostel. I must say, this was however most sociable place of all the places I stayed in Vietnam. British girl and guy at the Bar made conversations easy, played pool with a few people which works as a ice breaker. I arrived at the wee hours & check in was quick. I was a bit worried about the situation of handing over passport to hotel staff but it was safe & easy. I had an upper bed the 1st night, mattress was not comfortable & AC was not sufficient. Next day, I requested for bottom bed & the experience really changed. I would advise people to go for 16 bed dorm as room is at least twice the size of 10 bed dorm, it also has a balcony attached to it. Breakfast options average, free Beer in evening YAY ! Pub Crawl was great, I would like if they can somehow get curtains on the bed. I would recommend this place.
