Avoid this place at all costs. I didn't stay here but we went for drinks, lured in by the '15,000' Saigon beers. We were a group of 10, including many of our Vietnamese students from the English centre we were working at. As soon as we sat down and ordered, the old woman started screaming at us to get out,... Thank goodness we weren't staying here for longer than a beer! Disappointing that this review is one of many similar negative comments and that the lady in charge of this bar has not been stopped acting in such a disgraceful way. Do yourselves a favour and avoid this place at all costs! Picture this: I'm on holiday, walking down the... More

Didn't stay at the hostel but sat outside it having very cheap ice cold drinks watching the busy strip. The lady who runs it can be a bit intense but that just adds to the entertainment! The other staff are really friendly and make you feel at home.

We arrived late in the evening when the ground floor had already been turned into a party mile. It was really difficult to navigate through the crowd of drunk Westerners to the reception with our backpacks, but when we finally made it, we were welcomed warmly. After leaving our stuff upstairs, we went down to finally get something to eat... More

Favorite place in Bui Vien street by night. However, I never took a room. Drinks are cheap, you can put your own music. There is always a good atmosphere. Even if, sometimes the mama can be a little bit rude, you have to take it easy it is not personnal. Plus, Hanh her daughter is the sweetest and nicest person;... More

My first time to HCMC so thought I'd try something out in the heart of the tourist/backpack district. Price and location seemed right. First greeting with the old lady everyone's written about is true but I'm wondering if she's just misunderstood. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for friendly service. Location's good if you want to be in... More

As i write this it is 1:30am, i am on the 3rd floor and the music is blaring. Asked them to turn it down, was told "no". The room is a dump, bed and pillows hard, bathroom door doesnt close, toilet doesnt flush. They literally don't give a crap.

We did not stay at this guesthouse but stumbled upon it as we were walking down the street looking for a place to sit and have a drink. We were greeted by an older lady with a grim face but I thought nothing of it. She asked us to change seats when I had already sat down and I complied.... More

6 of us went there for a few drinks. Ordered can of beer each. It wasn't even before we made it through 1/3 of the cans, the boss lady started making comments about how we were drinking too slow and that we should move on. The place was half empty. While she was harrasing us with her hostile "hospitality", another... More
