I only stayed one night as I stayed an extra night in town without my friends and thought this place was fine for its price! Basic but good service. Scratches on bedside table and a bit gaudy style the only negative thing I can mention.

Rooms in ad are deceiving, when we checked in it was nothing like the picture. Outdated and damaged wall, ran down shower. Staff do not know a proper customer service. Taxi kiosks are more courteous and accomodating thank this hotel's front desk. Part of the lobby is used as sleeping area by the staff, as in literally there's a daybed and at one morning i saw them still sleeping. Breakfast food is ok, but i had asked for a refill of bacon 30mins before closure of buffet, but i was told they ran out. Ok, so how about this potatoes, or this one, or that one? Was given same answer. Theyre probably just conservative with food wastage, which is totally understandable.. but come on, what do you expect me to eat.. the 2 pieces of sad looking sausage and some cereals or bread? When it was time to checkout, the "concierge" staff booked as a taxi, only to be charged twice the normal rate. Fine, i gave the moneyto the staff, still cheap compared to where i live. Staff handed over a piece of paper to the driver .. it couldnt be the address cause everyone knows where the airport is! So am assuming it's a note for them to split the commision cause i didn't see the money being handed over. The taxi meter was also covered purposely. Goodness.. they only good thing is the location. But if i were you, choose other hotels among dozens available in that neighborhood.

The room and all equipment in the room is very old, everything in the room is falling apart, we decided to book because of the location, but the AC is too noisy that even you put plugs still you can feel like you are in a factory. Room is smelly from the drain we have to open a coffee bag to make smell less, when we inform the manager me Hoang Anh about it, he said “if you don’t like our place, YOU CAN LEAVE NOW, no problem”, also, staff walk in our room without informing us or knock on the door. I was super shock because of this service attitude. Very pity for such a great location.

Have no idea how this hotel is rated with 3 star. Makes me wonder about rating system here. The hotel is very old, smelly, very smoky. We only paid 20 usd per night and so did not expect much. Even so, evything in the room seems broken; shower stalll, AC, hot water cafe. Room is very small. Supposed to be non smoking but smelled smoke everywhere. Only good thing is the location. Hotel desperately needs to be remodeled. Service is terribl. No one seems to care. Save your money or at least don’t set high expectation. We tried to cancel the reservation but they would not let us.

I arrived in Ho Chi Minh after a very early flight, we prior to our visit had asked if we could check in early, we had no reply, we arrived there from the airport and was greeted by Rosie (Rosie the rude receptionist more like) the rooms weren't ready so we sat in their lobby whilst we waited, I was exhausted so was looking forward to getting up to my "beautiful VIP room" that we had booked due to the now very obviously photo shopped rooms. We were taken upstairs and arrived in our twin room, this had a double bed and a dated dirty sofa bed, which we were offered to sleep on. We were instantly dissapointed, it was dirty, the paint was peeling and the furniture broken. We were about to climb into our small double bed, to only discover blood stains and hairs! No! I Phoned reception, they sent the cleaner up with a clean sheet, she was rude also and was shouting something in her language, goodness knows what. The bath put us off with the black stains too. We asked for another room, this was a twin room, the windows wouldn't open in the bedroom and wouldn't close in the bathroom, the room was again dated and ugly not as advertised. We attempted to sleep but were eaten alive by mosquitos who were flying in through the bathroom window. The shower and AC were leaking also. After a quick discussion we decided it was safer not to stay here, we went down to Rosie and requested a full refund, she said no and wouldn't help at all! I then asked to speak with the manager, he wasn't back for an hour. We returned to our room with the mosquitoes until then. After an hour of waiting we returned to reception, to be rudely assisted (if you can call it that) he instantly started shouting at me and would only offer us a refund of 1 of the 2 nights we had booked. At £40 night this wasn't good enough. It went on and on. Our day had already been ruined enough by them, so we left instantly, accepting the 1 day refund. After leaving the hotel we managed to find a booking at the Sunland hotel, a 5/10 minute walk from the white hotel, a hotel of the same price and exquisite standards, the staff at the white hotel could learn a thing or two from the Sunland. If you find yourself in Ho Chi Minh, make sure to book in at the Sunland for sure, great value for money, great staff and lots of facilities, a pool, a bar, a sauna and much more! Unlike this place. Find below some photos, as you can see cigarette butts everywhere!
