I use riverside 8-10 times during the year in relation with business travels to Vietnam. It’s a small oasis with full service apartments, fantastic location by the river, and amazing service - includes access to a mini mart and the BLU restaurant. You feel welcome with the great staff and atmosphere is just making it little easier to be away from home.
We really enjoyed our stay here, we ate at the restaurant and at the ones nearby, all good. We lazed and swam in the pool. In the evening we made full use of the shuttle into town. We normally stay in District 1, but felt like a change and were glad we found these lovely, clean , peaceful apartments. The spa was fine. The hotel/airport transfer maybe a little expensive.
Nice big apartments in a quiet area of district 2 by the river. The apartments are clean and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Reliable wifi in the apartment makes it a good place to work from. Low road noise and quiet river traffic mean you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Stayed here during a business trip to HCMC. The apartments are a bit outdated, but very big and actually more suitable for long-term stays than short visits (the one I stayed at had two bed rooms, a bath, kitchen and big living room). There is a big swimming pool, gym and tennis court. Breakfast is served in the restaurant right by the river. What I particularly enjoyed was the small café in the compound, which served very good coffee as well as pastries, cookies and a few warm food options. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is apparently a boat shuttle service that takes you to the city center, but I didn’t try it and can’t comment on it. It’s definitely a nice place to stay at, especially if you don’t want to be in the midst of HCMC’s hustle and bustle.
Firstly, the good about staying at Riverside; the gardens are beautiful and scrupulously maintained : the staff are fabulous from the guys at the pool, the women who work unstintingly cleaning the rooms to Mai and friends in the laundry: the free minibus and water bus into and back from D1: the reception staff who will call and direct a taxi for you, and Riverside's location - on the river but within walking distance of great restaurants including 13, The Deck, Mad House, Trois Gourmands and Hum the fabulous vegetarian restaurant. The negatives; the apartments are a little tired (but very clean) and the kitchen poorly equipped, rules like no seats on the balcony are irritating and you will only get a late check out if you pay extra. The massive building work going on nearby may…
