While this place is decent, the staff really nice, as well as being in a great location in Saigon, the manager tried to scam us...My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, On the last night I wanted to pay so we could leave early the next morning. When we went to pay there was an extra charge of 190,000 dong on our bill. When I asked what it was for the sweet girl at reception said her manager told her to charge us for an early check-in. We had indeed arrived a couple of hours early, BUT the boy who checked us in, who was also really nice, didn't inform us that he would charge us, he just brought us to our room without discussion. Most if not all hotels I have ever stayed in the world will check you in, early or not, if the room is clean and available. It's good business. Anyway, when I questioned the girl about the charge the boy who checked us in was actually there and when I asked him why he didn't inform us that there was going to be a charge for early check-in he said that he himself hadn't been informed. Anyway, in the end I paid my bill, less the 190,000 dong and told the girl that if the manager wanted to talk to me that she could come up to my room to talk about it. I was very calm and didn't make a big issue of it, especially because the staff were so great, but in my opinion the manager is putting her staff in a really compromising situation by trying to have them do some dirty work for her.…
Located in an ideal place, near the streets of restaurants and away from noise. You can walk to the sites of interest (Reunification Palace, Cathedral, Post Office, Market ..). Hotel clean and safe. The staff is friendly, professional and very honest. We will be back for sure.
2 years ago, I was a moved to Vietnam to take a teaching course. ILA put me up at the green suites hotel. I was a young and naive whipper snapper back then. I had never left the west and being a first timer in asia, I was nervous about walking down the alley to the hotel. I should not have been nervous because Vietnamese people are so kind. Anyways, this place has its own kind of charm and character. Sure it isn't five stars, but employees are super nice and helpful. There used to be an old couple who cooked breakfast on the roof. To this day, they made some of the best omeletes I have ever had and the coffee was delicious, very delicious. I lived in that hotel for 30 days and I will never forget it.
I really liked the vibe of the place, guests are welcome, rooms are insanely cheap and have everything you would expect a bestwestern or super 8 to have in North America somewhere. 2 minutes from bui vien. Do not take taxis anywhere in the city they are almost all scams. Use Grab, download before you arrive in Vietnam.
The hotel is on the back lane and close to the famous walking street. Clean but there are things the housekeeping left out. A previous men underwear was found in my bathroom. Breakfast is at the rooftop on 6 floor. Limited choices to 3 and fairly small portion.
