Everything is ok except INTERNET. Super slow throughout the day, especially night time. Room was nice, bed was a bit hard to sleep. Typical Vietnamese breakfast. Good location in the middle of Dist.1, near almost everything I need. Good budget stay.

It is difficult to imagine this hotel was once three star quality. Frankly, it’s hard to believe this hotel could legitimately earn one star. The promotional photographs provided on various booking websites and the property’s website are simply not accurate. According to the hotel, they are for “illustration purposes” and are not actual hotel rooms in this hotel. I paid for an upgraded superior deluxe room and the pictures speak for themselves. My room was neither superior, nor deluxe. Dingy, old, rundown, Blank walls, thin, worn mattress, moldy bathroom fixtures, worn out carpet, non-functional light switches, and I could go on. From a practical standpoint, there are no power outlets near the bed - I had to charge my phone in the bathroom where one of the two power outlets was broken. This hotel’s best days are behind it. Many rooms here have no windows, which is why I upgraded to a Superior Deluxe, which has a window but only in the technical sense. Mine has a window that looks out into darkness. See the picture below taken at mid-day. No light whatsoever. Just a physical window. The room obviously used to be a smoking room. Smoking is no longer permitted but my room as well as the corridor do have the odor of stale cigarette smoke. The cigarette burns on the furniture remain evident. My advice is to choose a bite that has a well-established reputation. There are many with comparable prices. I hope my review can save at least one traveler from the great disappointment that would otherwise await them at Bong Sen.

Located in the heart of Sai Gon Center, Saigon Bong Sen Hotel is uniquely decorated in Asian style according to the three-star standard, right in the heart of Dong Khoi Street - known under the name of “shopping paradise"

We keep coming back since our first time we booked through Agoda, everything was fine but there was smelling cigarette even we were in non smoking room. The manager handled this problem so nice and that was the reason we keep checking in again and again. And we enjoyed our staying last time at the same room of this picture. We love the dresser dividing the large room and the bathroom, so convenient to get stuffs from both sides.

Traffic in Vietnam really a headache, it took us to think twice whether to cross the street...The hotel is located at the main street where opposite are the opera house, Sheraton Hotel and also in front of the walking street, motorbikes are flying everywhere. Old building with satisfying service, buffet breakfast ok, beds are ok too. It took 15mins to walk to Ben Thanh Market and Night market, Notre Dame Cathedral, post office, and Tan Dinh Church have to ride a grab car, charge around 50k dong. There are only convenient stores surrounded, the nearest Lotte Mart in dist. 7 took me 20mins with grab car, around 60k dong. Overall ok, not much surrounded, and do not ride the tricycle, it is crazy expensive, 1.5mil per hours, we were cheated as they pronounced 15k dong and 5k 1 way. Do not ride a tricycle, do not ride the taxi unless it is called by the hotel, please remember that.

This was surprisingly good given the price. It was less than US$60 including breakfast. Rooms are big and in excellent condition. Bed comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent with an egg chef on board. Location is fantastic.

We spent one night on the day we arrived in Saigon and this hotel was perfect for all our requirements. Although I had requested a non-smoking room, our room reeked of cigarette smoke! However I am giving it a rating of 4 for location , good in-room facilities, comfy beds and great breakfast! It is located very close to the Opera house, post office and cathedral (under renovations right now). Although our room had a balcony to the main street, we could not hear much when then windows/door was closed and had a good nights sleep!

The buffet lunch here was not so various; moreover, the quality is average which means they were not terrible but not good enough. However, I feel so terrible with their service, especially with the front desk clerks because of their unfriendly welcome.
