While the rooms may not look so fancy, and even the atomsphere itself is not so luxurious, but it is great for budget travelers who still want the convienice of their own room. we could have gotten into a hostel, but the thing is, we could have 2 beds, at the price of 20+$ and still get breakfast. If you...

Liked the room at first because it had a nice view and a balcony, but it's run by a money-hungry manager. We negotiated on the price since we were staying for 4 nights. He asked for all 4 days up front. I gave him 2 at check in, and I planned to give him 2 after services were rendered (most...

Since I last reviewed this hotel it has been extensively redecorated, with a good paint job throughout, retiling, and refurnishing of the rooms. So now it looks like a new pin. Amazingly the prices haven't increased and you can still get a small room for US$18 or a larger room (the front ones with balconies) for US$20.

Lan Anh Hotel is in Ho Chi Minh City's District One, slap bang in the middle of the "back-packer" area. If you are on a budget but don't want to go as low as shared dormitory accommodation, this hotel offers the best deal you are going to find in HCMC. The furnishings are tired and worn, but the bedding is...

I stayed at Lan Anh for one night, and although the room was average (bed wasn't too comfy, but it wasn't the worst I'd stayed in) and the service was alright, they gave my passport to the wrong person. I was supposed to get a bus at 8:30am but upon checking out they realised that they had given my passport...

The place has all you need. Not luxury but definitely a great stay. For me what really made it was the service and the reception area. All the staff there were polite, willing to help and always cracking a joke. The front area also has a number of staff working there to book you trips to other places in Vietnam....

Can get your laundry done for $1 US a kg.,and offer $1 breakfast of coffee, baguette and egg or jam etc. Will do reasonable $ exchange.
