An exquisite garden and deluxe accommodation is beside Saigon River, unique experience in Ho Chi Minh city. The wood house is in the island, great location on riverbank so our speedboat will pick you up at opposite of the house, it takes 3 minutes to go. Away from hustle and bustle of busy city but it close enough to to get experience if you want to.

Quiet small place set in beautiful gardens a short 3 min boat ride across the river from district 2. Pickup is from a restaurant across the river, just need to make a phone call and they come pick you up. We didn't have a sim card that would work on the local network so they even went and got us one. beautiful breakfast served by the river every morning just need to let them know what you want the night before. amazing staff and very friendly dogs, We highly recommend.

I visited this slice of paradise this week for three days and I already miss it. It's quiet, clean, the staff are helpful and the food is great. So as others have said, you do need to take a boat to the retreat: you just need to call when you are at the pier and the boat will be sent to collect you fairly quickly. I actually love that it is across the river; city noise is far away. You can have lunch At the resoirt itself but this needs to be ordered 2 hours in advance. Or you can take the boat over the river and either explore Ho Chi Minh or keep in style with the river-get-away theme and have a meal at the restaurant at the pier. We were able to use the bikes and kayaks for free and and indulged in a wonderful relaxing massage on our last evening. Each morning we were served a fresh breakfast. And I mean FRESH: Turng went to the local market to get the ingredients for the breakfast we ordered the night before. All the amenities worked well: Wi-Fi,hot showers, aircon.

I'm not a fan of crowds and busy places, and asked my travel company to organise four star accommodation away from the hustle. They took that very literally, with this charming place. The driver from the airport struggled to find the pier, which is down a non obvious gravel road next to a perfectly serviceable restaurant. Then you go down this rickety pier into a boat which takes you to the retreat. It's really peaceful and gardens are beautiful! The rooms are really stately and beautiful too. Breakfast by the Riverside in the morning also a delight. I can't really say a bad word about this place. There are three or four dogs who are well behaved. As another reviewer mentioned they do bark at night but when I travel I always sleep with earbuds in so it didn't bother me. I am going back for two nights when I'm in Saigon for layover which I'm delighted about!

We booked the place for a short trip before get back to work after Tet holiday. The place is quite peaceful and is a perfect hideaway from the crowded city, even when it is quite close to Thao Dien, District 2. This is a perfect place for you to slow down from your hectic life and enjoy every moments. The room is quite nice, fully-accommodated and got a nice bathroom. We even got a chance to ride the bike and discover beautiful lotus ponds through the back road of the home stay (it's the road that connect the place with Binh Quoi- Thanh Da). The staff were quite helpful and always attentive to our needs. We didn't get a chance to have dinner and lunch at the place, but I can ensure with you that the meal will be quite good as all the vegetable used for the dishes are grown in their garden. If you're still craving for foreign food, a short 3-minute traveling by boat can also take you to Thao Dien and there are variety of cafes and great restaurants over there. The friendly dogs and puppies are also a great bonus. The price can be a little bit expensive for local travelers, but i think the experience is quite worth it, especially when you compare it to other trips to provinces that require long time being on the highway. There are a lot of more exciting things that i want to tell you about the place, but I think it would be the best if you can discover them by yourself. Once again, i want to say thank you to all the staff for let us having such a peaceful and enjoyable time during our stay.

The 'free parking' is a bit of misleader. Access to the Saigon Riverside Retreat is by boat across the Saigon river. Which can be a bit of a surprise if you're not expecting it (we weren't and we were a bit surprised!). The gardens were just beautiful, the staff were lovely and very obliging and helpful. The room was lovely and clean. Once you're there you're a captive audience (although I believe the guys will arrange to take you across the river if you have plans). We ordered dinner, which was a multi course affair and served on the big deck. It wasn't great, but it was OK enough. Breakfast by the river the next morning was a great start to the day. It was lovely to wander around the beautifully maintained garden. Definitely worth a visit if you're going to Ho Chi Minh.
